Blizzard activates Cross Platform Play on Overwatch, will include all players from ALL regions, ALL platforms into ONE global pool for matchmaking. Region selection is NO MORE, even if you select EU, you might be placed on Americas or SEA servers depending upon the need to fill matches.
I have tested this for last 3 days and it's ok for now, you get placed on MES (Middle East Server), around 40-60ms ping and get mostly EU/Asia/SEA players with better Queue times than before on MES. Now, I had MES blocked on firewall and used to play on EU on 160-170ms ping coz better teammates and faster Queue times. On crossplatform MES, Queue times are not as fast as EU, or teammates are not as good as EU but it's better than old MES and ping is far better. Anyone else tested this yet?
