Which one is better ? Sony Vegas / Adobe AE?

I currently use Sony Vegas Pro 11 (x86) for general edits and montages of gameplays too..
What exceptional features does Adobe AE have that it proves the basic choice of many video editors?

If You Simply Do Video Editing Then Vegas Is Better Cause It Saves Time and Produces Low Sized File. While AE First Renders Too Fast Than Vegas But Produces a Large Sized File And it Renders The Whole Video First Then Plays Which Is A Pain The Arse When Editing Large Videos. I Use Both But Vegas Is My Priority When I Have Short Time But That First Render Thing Completely Kills It If you Want To Edit Videos With It.

[MENTION=41864]armada[/MENTION] After Effects Can Be Used For cutting And Joining Videos too. Anyways @OP If You Want Both In One Get Adobe Premiere Pro It's Fast And Good But Is A Bit Complicated. I'll Use Premiere Pro From Now On In My Videos.

That allows us to add pre-defined filters and effects onto a video clip?
I've used it before and along with being complicated, i Couldn't find any such thing as i needed an option to add a custom made effect on various videos.... SO, is there any function in ADOBE PREMIER that may help me in this case?

[MENTION=127189]CycloneEffectGx[/MENTION] in Adobe AE there is no such preset thing, in Adobe AE you use plug-ins to create visual effects and video looks such as for making rain in video you need trapcode particular plug-in and for applying cinematic looks on videos i use magic bullet looks

Hmm... got it (2t) well i've heard alot about MBL... any more good plugins for AE? [MENTION=41864]armada[/MENTION]?
And is there a plugin for creating artificial DEPTH OF FIELD (DOF)?

For simple video editing go with Edius. it has lot of ready made project around you may buy or obtain free some times.

The Depth Of Field Etc. Are Already There in AE. Yes In Premiere there are effects presets for video effects and transitions etc.
