Hi friends,

Hope u all r fine. Today I want to ask all karachi living students who are studying or want to study in NUST ( H-12 ). I'm confused because people are saying that prepare from F.sc books. I want to ask if there is a difference between PUNJAB board and SINDH board, then from which F.sc books ( sindh or punjab or someone else ) are the TEST made ??? or the books are same ????? please guide me in this matter, im very much confused !!!!!!!!!!

If you have done alèvels then studying from fsc books wont help, you need to join some academy beacuse imo studying from fsc books without teacher is a total mess.
im not doing A levels, im doing F.sc from Karachi Board. plz answe my question that entry test is from which F.sc books,Sindh or punjab ??? or the books r same ??

To be very honest. 60000+ applicants. hota luck pe hi hai.
But anyhow, the people who are from Karachi in our class, have very strong logic (applies to every area btw). A-levels does help to clear your logic, but somethings do come from FSc part which isnt taught in A-levels at all. (forgot what they are)

Important thing in test is to manage time, because most applicants fail to take that into account and waste there time on a troubling question or two. Prepare well and pray to Lord. May He do what is better for you.

And very honestly, it might sound a bit rough, but is truth. Agar mouqa milta hai to go for a good foreign university. But if you have to stay in Pakistan, very few unis are even in the league of NUST. Its the best Pakistan can offer. You might be thinking of a very education intensive (quality wise) place, but this isn't. I hope I havent demotivated you. Just being realistic. Best of luck.

Your comment is bit rude i think,NET isn't on luck man,it's pure hardwork, alevels means shit in net, believe me,gave net 2 times on alevels preparation and got nailed.i have few friends from school who are taking gap year with me despite getting admissions in foreign universities with 100% scholarship as they weren't worth leaving pakistan.
The thing is man, if you get accepted in top universities then go for it otherwise fazool mai maa baap ka paisa zaya karni ki kiya zaroorat hai.(i have a friend who went to west virginia university as he got admission there yet he couldn't pass his alevels :/ )

Slighlty agree with you.
About NET, FSc has some courses/stuff which A-levels doesnot teaches at all as I mentioned before. But development of logic is way better in A-levels.

I am enrolled at NUST and majority here is of A-levels (55-60%). I am a FSc myself. And got in on sheer luck. Just gave the test one time :) And seeing people around me, no one is nalaik per se as obviously they were in top 2400, but they arent brilliant either (maybe one or two exceptions). Shughal scene hai. NUST ka yeh haal pta nhi baaki unis men kya hta hoga. 1% awaam ilm k hasool k lye aati. 70% degree k lye. and baaki 29% chill marne k lye.

GUYSSSS. How do I prepare for NET3?
I've done my Alevels and now I was thinking of joining Anees Hussain ki coaching. Any advice? Can I do it at home? Cause obviously tutions will be a hassle. I have absolutely no idea how to prepare for the test. And to make things worse, I only have about a month before the exam.

Join academy ASAP,i have done alevels too and believe me i am mostly sitting ducks in entry test class but learning new things daily, you cant prepare at home unless you have some one with you who has done fsc, i joined the academy on 23rd so far only 20% of the fsc part 1 has been covered :/ no time for part 2 , i have to study them at home.
I can guide you in maths section for Part 2 FSC.

Study Chapter 1 , leave chap 2 and 3 as we alevels guys know it better(just study their CHAIN RULE) , study analytical geometry and the chapter which comes after it and learn CONIC section from KHAN ACADEMY. it has around 3-5 lectures but are pure beauty..

you can learn all of these with in 2 days apart from that geometery,it has checkey formulas :D

I gave net 2 with self study and got around 100 but i pretty much understood the maths part 1 book myself.i studied matrices from youtube, they were damn awesome.i only got screwed in maths book 2 as i didn't study it , i think i left around 15 maths mcqs from book 2.

Thanks a lot bro. Listen can you guide me? I will be starting at Anees Hussain inshaaAllah from Monday. But I really don't trust them. I'll study by myself as well.

Can you guide me about the topics that are same and those that are different? Please?

sure,
For Maths study whole part 1 book except these 2 chapters ( partial fractions and permutation and combinations) i know its alot but these chapters contain some tiny things which always comes in from of MCQs. ratafy trigonometry.
From Part 2 , study chapter one , i think only exercise 1.3 will do,chap 2 and 3 and integration and differentiation so you can leave it , study conics and analytical geometry.not completely just some formuals which are not given in alevels.

For physics all i can say is you have too study both books but an avg alevels student can easily get 30/60 in phys :(
and you really raised a valid point of not trusting the academies,my cousin joined anees hussain and he didnt get selected in nust or any other uni.
Youtube is your best friend my friend !

Umm...I'd add a bit...First order bohot matter karta ha...Log usually Math k section pe saara time lagaa dete han aur end mein time nh bachta unke paas...First go for the easiest section i.e. English, IQ waghera then Chem., Phy. and lastly Maths....Aap jo marzi kr lein there is a very rare chance that u'll get them all correct.

Baaki tayaari ka jahan tak taaluq ha to you should note one thing: Paper bohot unevenly set hota ha kyunke computer generated hota ha saara from a bank of MCQs...kabhi conic section se aajata ha zyaadaa to kabhi Calculus se....A Levels walon ko problem hoti ha kyunke paper is more FSc oriented...neverthless you shouldn't lose hope...U wil have to join an academy self study se kaam nh banay gaa if u're from A Levels...

Wish you all best of luck for your NETs :p

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
