Strangely, I heard the same thing from people working for different companies.
The word is that they make you work like a donkey, leaving no to meager time for social life.
This is very true here's what happens:
- The people who work with you here become your one and only social circle
- You find it hard to face your social circle before you joined this place, everyone who even does not ask has the same question in their minds or mouths and although its not true whatever the reality is its not good either. So eventually you are surrounded by guilt, embarrassment or you become a bayhaya or bayghairat.
I know just the kind of people who love their jobs at the place that im not naming, people who feel money is everything and have not seen much of it through their childhood and they can't believe the importance they get for the first time in their life and their folks are happy cuz it seems like their children have made it! I can tell you among the 100s that worked there only 3 people I knew to have come from rich backgrounds rest were all middle or below middle class individuals. Ask them how many lums or iba grads they have? 1 lums and 2 owners are the only iba grads that is it!
In IBA people laugh at "A", they have never been allowed a recruitment drive there and or at LUMS.
