The Fabulous Fashion Thread -|- Discuss Fashion Tips & Grooming -|-

I'm all for experimenting, but there's a difference between experimenting and being dumb. His hairstyle is the epicentre of paindaness.

Sneakers are nice, but you need at least two non-sneaker shoes in your closet to pair with different outfits and to get different looks.

When I wear a casual white shirt, with a grey sleeveless sweater and a pair of chinos, I cant ruin the look with sneakers. Finish the look with grey slip ons or rust hiking boots, and there you have yourself a complete gentleman.

Yes and No. Fashion is not what you wear, its how you wear it. Give Rs. 15,000 to a painda and tell him to get an outfit from "insert big brand here," and there's a 90% chance he'll look as painda as he did before. The devil's in the details, brah :p @Anurin

There are certain things you have to know that you should avoid. Like, for example, you could buy a Rs. 4,000 T Shirt from Levis, with a big ass LEVIS written on it. So what do you have? A Rs. 4,000 paindi shirt from Levis.

The above was the "No" part. Now onto the "Yes" part.

Buying branded clothes is easier. You have to make a lot less effort. You can just visit one of the so many brands and buy what you like, by paying a little extra. One of my favourite Pakistani brands is Charcoal. Its decently priced, and the shit they have is epic.

I have an unbranded tuxedo which I've worn to a couple weddings. How much did I pay for it? Rs. 6,000. But it overshadows awam ke Rs. 30,000 walay suits. The only thing is, I found it after 3 days of khuwari and window shopping.

To extend my reply, after all the tiny details have been taken care of, fashion is ultimately how you carry yourself. Keeping your back straight, showing that you know you're hot by your body language, NOT fidgeting, NOT fixing your hair every time you see your reflection. Smiling. Taking it easy.
Charcoal is sweet. I bought a casual 'polo' shirt from them and it was around 500-700. Don't remember exactly. But it's good. :)

Could you upload a picture of the 'epicentre of paindiness' guy? :D

But won't that ruin its look?
not if you get it done right!

Ive gotten a shalwar kameez, jacket, and some dress shirts I got from abroad (a bit oversized) fitted to my build and theyve been awesome! I give my measurements and tell em how I want it fixed... its a gamble, yes, coz if the darzi messes it up your cloths'll be ruined...

of course they can only shorten your clothes not lengthen em :p

Shalwar kameez and shirts waghaira is easy, I guess. But the jackets' stitching waghaira would be more complex, no? What material jacket did you get altered?

O.K. the material is rough cotton. Ask him to use the 'jeans ki silai wali needle' coz normally it cant be done...

Also Im thinking abt getting this cotton jacket from Rehan's and I asked him if he can have it more 'closely fitted' to my size and he said its no problem... lets see how that one turns out...

Well, the jacket I have is a denim one. The most I've seen tailors doing with denim is cutting jeans off to shorten them. :p

My bag of random skincare stuff
Thats alot of random skincare stuff. ;)

Depends. What kind of accessories are you talking about?
The dhagas and plastic band bracelets and tasbeeh type chains everyone's wearing these days :p.

Need to add a little funk to my excessively serious wardrobe.

Yeah I know, last time I went to japan I got some apple and strawberry scented ones, but I've used them to the point where they've disintegrated. Need more but I cant justify visiting japan just for underwear, and my gf really likes them ;/ Any idea where I can get these in Pakistan?

Well, all major brands carry that stuff nowadays. They tend to be on the slightly expensive side though.

Your gf really likes them? Visit justified, brah. Anything for love.

Or if you wanna be a cheapo and not visit Japan for her, you can just throw in your undies in the washing machine with a few fruits/perfumes/flowers. Mission accomplished. Undies scented.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
