The espn they show in Pakistan is broadcasted from here so its nothing big that they broadcasted Pakistan's matches.

The fact that Pakistani players are not inculded is a clear sign of racisim and hatered by the Indians. They want to isolate our cricket team and sure there was involvement of Indian extremist lobby behind the deadly attacks on Srilankan team.
GEO sports primary motive is to earn profit and sponsors like any other private channel. But they should keep this fact in mind that Indians are working on an agenda to demolish our status as a good cricketing nation in the world.

^Co-operating as neighbours is a different perspective. The point is sports is the only universal tool which can bring unity and mutual understanding among the nations of the world. But if someone is trying to bring politics into sports on an international level than it shows their hatred and foul motives.
"Sports should be played in a good spirit and kept clean of politics".

I find it impossible to keep politics apart from sports. How one affects the other must be kept to a bare minimum though.
At the end of the day IPL is an Indian Cricket tournament. The authorities concerned have every right to NOT include players of one nationality. Although I'm not too fussed about our players missing out on this Tamasha.

Players are such show-offs in the IPL. They deliberately try to make everything look difficult. :tv:

So there was this dude who was running in from the outfield to take a catch. I swear had he been a microsecond quicker, he would've swallowed the ball . For a moment I thought he meant to catch the ball with his crotch. He was that much bent over :lol:

This comment is what my views are too:
The players broke the laws of the game, not the umpires. They should have been sanctioned far more harshly. Do we really want to see a football-like situation where the players can scream at the umpire and "flop about faking it" in order to influence decisions? A legal solution to the problem that happened exists. It's called the DRS. If the BCCI don't want it their cricket has to learn to live without it.

Absolutely agree with Rehan. WTF Is the problem with DRS? Just a few improvements are needed, otherwise its a great feature of nowadays cricket. Furthermore, this shitty Harbajan should control his temper, he in no way looks like a senior. No difference in him and Kohli. They do not really care who they are yelling at, when they know that BCCI is so strong and Sharad Pawar is ICC chairperson.

Kevin Pietersen has blamed England's lack of enthusiam for the IPL on "jealousy," fuelling the debate over attitudes towards India's all-consuming Twenty20 tournament. Interest in the IPL remains limited in the UK, with media coverage virtually non-existent and more attention given to the start of the County Championship season.
Pietersen, who along with Eoin Morgan is the only current England international in this year's IPL, believes he knows why. "The IPL is very much struggling to find acceptance back home," he told reporters in India. "It saddens me because I have had an amazing time at the IPL.
"It's down to a lot of jealousy I think, which is sad. It saddens me, all the negative publicity the IPL gets in the [UK] media, I don't know why."
Pietersen, like many England players, is unable to take part in England's own Twenty20 tournament because it clashes with the international schedule but the BCCI have been careful to ensure their top players are available for the IPL.
Pietersen's comments follow a scathing assessment of the effect of IPL in Wisden Cricketers' Almanack. Wisden's editor, Lawrence Booth, complained of: "The rise of a Twenty20-based nationalism, the growth of private marketeers and high-level conflicts of interest," adding: "It is a perfect storm and the global game sits unsteadily in the eye."
While other England players have been released for early season four-day Championship matches, Pietersen's emphasis is on the Twenty20 game. "Playing another month in the subcontinent honing my skills, training with the spinners and practising, I consider myself so very fortunate," he said.
"I'd love to see more English players available for ... well not only available, I would love to see them picked up because I also see some of the games being played at the moment and I just think ... man, up here would have been lot better if the Andersons, Bresnans and Boparas were involved in the IPL," he added in an interview with CNN-IBN. "The guys like Bell, you've got world class players who are sitting in England now wanting to play the IPL when you've got some second rate Australians getting gigs here.
"So for me, it's sad that I don't have fellow team-mates playing in the IPL and embarking on a magnificent journey here in the subcontinent and it'll help English cricket as well."
England fast bowler Stuart Broad pulled out of IPL this week because of injury, while two more members of England's attack, James Anderson and Graeme Swann, were unsold.
