Pakistani game developer joins rank of Attari and Kabam

Published: April 7, 2012

According to a news release issued here, Islamabad’s White Rabbit Studios is the only Facebook gaming studio from Pakistan – and in fact the entire South Asian region – to be featured in the list of key social game developers. As a result of this partnership, the company will gain access to more than 30 million users in 6waves’ gigantic Facebook user network, said the release.

Yes, I work there. White Rabbit has come a long way in the past 1.5 years. Hassan Baig is the owner of the company. He posted several articles for Social Game development on some renowned Pakistani Blogs and magazines before as well e.g. Green and White.

The project currently under development is as huge as Farmville or Sims Social itself. I'm sure many of you have played those games. If not and you're interested, pay facebook a visit and play those games.

The scope of these social games is huge and completely different than console based games. Developing online experiences with a user baseline of 5 million+ is no easy feat to conquer. It requires a refined vision and that's what White Rabbit has been doing for the past two years.

We're almost there, and you guys will soon see the first AAA Social Game launched from the very heart of Pakistan. InshAllah.

Good to see someone from the same studio on this forum. We wish you all the luck for the project so that our immense gaming talent get recognition in some way internationally.

What Verdict? It's a gaming studio, and games are merely entertainment. So, not an achievement. Also, why is it a proud moment? I don't get it. I am not here to argue, I just think it isn't anything special.
