Now here's a game that got absolutely NO coverage at all.

Developer: Milestone S.r.l
Publisher: Black Bean Games
Platform: PS3, X360, PC
Released: October 8th, 2010

Take on the extreme challenge of the 2010 World Rally Championship and get behind the wheel to compete for the ultimate crown. Chose from the official cars and compete on all the WRC events in an authentic time challenge against the clock. Experience the dramatic thrills and raw frustrations as you master drifting and handbrake turns on your PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3!
ROAD TO THE WRC: follow in the tyre tracks of the WRC heroes as you progress through the career mode. Start by building your own team, participate in regional championships, and move up the ladder to land a prestigious contract with a leading WRC team

TIME ATTACK
: select your favorite car and take on a famous special stage in your quest to set a record time. Upload your best performance online to and download those of the world record holders to compare your skills

ONLINE RANKING: compete online against other players across the world where you can organize or participate in customised stages, rallies and championships. Gain experience and hone your skills to improve your online ranking and do battle to be crowned the first virtual WRC Champion!

AUTHENTIC WEATHER CONDITIONS
: conquer the elements as the WRC takes you from the snowy tracks in Sweden, to the depths of the dusty desert in Jordan, and on to the technical asphalt roads of Catalunya

I got this game for the PS3 at the airport; got a bargain. But I absolutely love the crap out of it. Perfect rally simulation. Loads of locations, and six stages per location. I played some tarmac and gravel tracks last night, and I am totally hooked.

It's got solid online play as well, which isn't saying so much since it is time-attack anyway!

Racing game fans, get this game. It's pretty awesome.

So did any of you manage to get the game?

What I love about this game is that it's pure rallying. I haven't even tried all the countries yet but the ones I have tried all play differently. And unlike the recent Dirt games the different cars and environments actually makes a difference on how you drive.

It reminds me a lot of Colin McRae 05, one of my favorite games of all time. So I'm in love with this one as well.

On the downside it's presented in the worst way possible. The menus are dry and boring, and the information about your level progress etc is hard to find.

I'm still playing the 2WD cars. They get damn fast later on. Using the medium difficulty level, it's slightly on the easy side at the moment, but I'm sure things will get challenging once I unlock the 4WD and B Rally cars.

Should have it in a day or two.

I dont mind presentation menus a problem. Infact I like it simple.

If it plays good, and real ... thats all that matters!

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
