Hi all, can only choose between HBL, Standard Chartered and MCB. Which one should I go for? Priority is online (international included) transactions and banking. Wont be making loads of transfers; barely one or two a month at max.
Easy, SCB. You can't go wrong with it. If you can't, then I'd wait for someone, who has experience with MCB, to chime in as I can only speak for HBL. HBL's debit card works almost everywhere I am talking Aliexpress, Netflix, apple's AppStore, play store, steam, etc. The site and mobile app work pretty great and I have had no problem with transfers, paying for stuff online such as bills, mobile top-ups, etc. One thing for HBL is their helpline is non-existent. You will be very lucky if someone picks up their phone and this has happened to me 100% of the times I needed to call (before COVID). This is one of the reason why I don't usually recommend HBL to people. HBL's bank staff, however, is on the contrary and always got my issues resolved. I always had to go to the bank, which is conveniently near my house. The banking staff for MCB was also friendly and helpful when I went there for inquiry though that doesn't depict how their service is as a customer.

Forgot to mention that the debit card for HBL also works for subscriptions (that usually require credit card) on playstore, appstore and as well as origin for origin access (just tried it).
Their website is working, also I just found out why my payment failed its because i didn't had enough money for the purchase because I got taxed (10 days after purchase) on my previous purchases. I'm pretty sure that mcb lite had no tax on international online purchases a few months ago but now they do?
I tried using my mcb lite card on netflix but it said this "[FONT="]There appears to be a problem with the card you are trying to use. Please use a different card or check with your bank to make sure your card is enabled for international transactions"

Can anyone please confirm if their mcb lite card works online?Ever since i received there new chip based card it is not working anywhere i lodged multiple complains but despite that it wont work i am really frustrated due to this.
Some new chip based MCB Lite cards are not working online, but old MCB Lite cards are still working online, even after activating new one and even after receiving sms that it will be blocked.
Try making payments with your old MCB Lite card details. It works for me atleast.

New chip based MCB Lite need International / e-commerce activation from MCB helpline and then they start working for online payments.
I just activated that on my new chip based card and online transactions are working perfectly.

Its ~3.5% advance tax imposed by Government on all foreign online transactions and is taxed few days after transaction.
MCB has blocked Google Play and Netflix on all their debit cards. Just some scummy business tactics to force users to get their credit cards.
Use alternate payment methods. Netflix also accepts billing through PTCL and Telenor Postpaid. Google Play has Direct Carrier Billing.
Nope i tried old one they have blocked it i even asked there customer service to unblock my old card as it was working online they said cant help it is removed from our record.I guess you just got lucky.
Mcb lite card is not working for me on easypaisa or even local payments however their website is working and money deposit/transfer is also working only card is not working idk why it worked fine a month ago but now its not working, as I mentioned before my card is old mcb lite card not the new chip one.
I just activated my new chip MCB Lite card for International / e-commerce transactions by calling MCB and now new chip card started working online. I also upgraded to Level 1 as well by providing CNIC proof.
Maybe you can consider deactivating and then reactivating those services.

When did you provide the cnic proof? When you got the new card or after that.
I have SCB debit and CC. Both the existing cards were having chip but anyhow they sent me a new debit card having this chip n pin thingy but didn't sent me the chip and pin new cc. now my existing card is having chip and I have set up pin as well but on POS it is still working with signature and not asking for pin and since the new pin cards rolled out the vendors no more bother to sign the receipt. I have complained multiple times and they said that all SC cc are like this and they will sent out new chip and pin cc soon. please guide me if march 2020 was last date how come scb is still not providing me chip n pin cc?

I went to my nearest MCB bank and they checked original one and then kept a copy of cnic and within next few days, it updated to Level 1 with the following limits.
Updating to Level 1 can be done anytime, no restrictions.
We have disabled traderscore and are working on a fix. There was a bug with the plugin | Click for Discord
