Salaams PG members,

i have a laptop with usb 1.0 , i know there is a PCMCIA card available which has USB ports in it , will that card have usb 2.0 ports , and if yes then will i get the full speed of usb 2.0 in my laptop by using th PCMCIA card?.plz also do mention the prices if u can .

yes u can get PCMCIA - usb 2.0 card for about 1500-1800... price will vary according to the ports.... more ports more price..... usually there are 2 or 4 ports.... u can get it easily in any store

yep beginner is correct, a 2 port card will cost you within RS 2000 however I am not sure whether it can achieve the full USB 2.0 speed? as I personally haven't used it yet!

thanks iNF3RN0 , i think it will give full usb 2.0 speed as the PCMCIA technology itself has the ability of read/write speeds of 480Mbps if i am not mistaken.
