So...........................

I'm on a mission to build a non-gaming PC from scratch.

Looking for your good recommendations as to what parts should I choose.

Minimum requirements idea:

i5 9th Gen Processor
SSD (NVMe or 2.5" whichever is cheaper)
MoBo
16GB RAM
Water cooling solution if possible?

Apart from the traditional HDD, Monitor, Mouse K/B combo, speakers, I need to get everything else including a case.

Depending on good configurations, I miiiiiiiiiight extend the said budget a bit.

A non gaming PC so a GPU is not the concern here and stock Intel gpu will do just fine.

A laptop's RAM, storage and in most cases the processor can be upgraded, that leaves the only non upgradable part worth mentioning is the graphics card, a dedicated one, which is not needed in your case.

Cons: non upgradable GPU, slightly weaker CPU than the dekstop counterpart.

Pros:
- Portable.
- Lcd, battery, keyboard and touchpad already included.
- Very low energy consumption compared to dekstop.
- Better used market Value compared to custom made rig with no dedicated GPU.

If you still want a desktop computer, wait for ryzen 3rd gen series, the upcoming ryzen 5 3600 + cheap b35 motherboard and 2x16 gb ddr4 ram, pair that with a 500gb sata ssd and a 1tb of HDD and you are good to go. Oh and a 500watt PSU prefably 80+ bronze certification. That leaves enough for you to squeeze in a GTX 1660 6gb if you increase the budget to 700$. Now this is a very capable work horse and a gaming device.
