Message for Mods: Possible Website error in the E3 2008 Section

Ok, this post is really only for the Mods here at Pakgamers...I think there is some kind of an error in the E3 2008 section ...let me explain..

I was just typing up my own E3 2008 Guide, and when I was finished, I tried Previewing it...

The error is that the website automatically generates a dozen Tags for the thread, which are basically all the words which appear in the thread's topic ...

For example, if I type in this Topic name --> My (Not-So) Complete Guide to E3 2008 !!

The Tags generated are these -- > notso,complete,guide,2008,schedule,live,stream,links

which are simply too many... which is precisely why I cannot preview my post..

Also, if I shorten the Topic name, such as --> My E3 2008 Guide !!

The Tags generated are these --> notso,complete,guide,2008,schedule,live,stream,links

I dont understand ?!?! :wacko:

Can someone please look into this, as I really want to publish my little E3 guide .... I saved its BBcode

EDIT: For some reason it worked now !! I made a post with a really small topic name, and then edited to the full topic name..Worked ... Maybe it was just my browser hiccupping... ... Mods please delete this post if its irrelevant now..

oh yes! it was just hapening with me when i was a thread in the software den

But at the same time i saw the find box of firefox open and the same text as the title of thread was in it, i closed it and the problem got solved.

I really dont know how it happened but "find taskbar" at the bottom was open with all text in it,
exactly the same problem i was facing

It really is a problem, once agian i wanted to make a topic but the same problem ocurred but this time there was no find box in firefox therefore i had to make a small topic title

I don't get it what's the exact problem? post a screen shot if you can! if you are referring those auto generated tags as a error then it's not. I added the auto generated tags feature because nearly 90% of peoples were not utilizing it.

It will become better with the time once the ignore words filter keep getting on the words list like excluding words "is, not, if, me" etc. But if you see these words in the tags filed just edit them and add your own..

What's the problem then? I am not seeing any error?

the problem that the number of automatically generated tags is more than the max limit for tags if you have a long thread title.

i guess but i think it recreates tags everytime you press submit. the only solution is to keep a small thread title so that automatically generated tags are few and then edit the title.

put a cap on auto tags so that they dont exceed the system max.

you delete them and then press SUbmit button, it says the tags exceed the limit , means they do not delete until you make a small tilte
