I have D-Link ADSL router (DSL-502T).From next month ,I will have unlimited Download during night i.e between 12:00 am to 8:00am .According to my ISP, I should switch On the modem or router after 12:00 am and Switch it if off before 8:00am ,so as to enjoy unlimited download during that period .So I want to know a way to automatically disconnect the CPE or Router before 8:00.So that I will not have to worry(I don't want my sleep to be disturbed ) about swtiching the CPE off automatically before 8:00 myself during holidays in June .

i dont think there is such a software... but my point was when windows is shutdown there wont be any upload/download hence you wont be charged for anything... you can just switch off the router manually afterwards...

nope there is no option for automatically turn off your router, however as usman suggested you can automatically turn off your PC that will be fine for you as when your PC gets shutdown your link will become idle (no bandwidth usage)..

if u really need to physically switch off the router then design an system via clock and a transistor or an actuator which turns off your router....

^ well I am not sure about it..give it a try, as on few motherboards there is a option whether enable the power from the USB in the power-off mode (to turn on the PC from the keyboard) or not!

If I remember correctly there is also a setting in BIOS about the USB power..So U need to check it out..or post your motherboard description (i-e brand and model)

Thanks,
