This year's Evo Championship Series fighting game tournament will feature nine games, Evo co-founder Joey "MrWizard" Cuellar announced today. Cuellar confirmed that the annual tournament will include two still-unreleased games, Mortal Kombat X and Tekken 7, as well as double the Smash Bros — both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee for GameCube will be included this year.

Perennial fighters Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will once again return for this year's Evo.

The full confirmed lineup is as follows:

Cuellar noted that the lineup is subject to change, and that there may be additions leading up to the tournament.

The last time Guilty Gear appeared at Evo in an official capacity was in 2009 with Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core and Persona 4 Arena's most recent appearance was in 2012.

Cuellar and Mad Catz's Mark Julio confirmed that the arcade version of Tekken 7 will be featured at Evo 2015, since console versions of Bandai Namco's fighting game have not yet been announced. Julio said that fighting game fans will have opportunities to play Tekken 7 at unspecified game events prior to Evo 2015.

As for the decision to feature two Super Smash Bros. titles, Cuellar said Evo wanted to cater to both the "new blood" playing Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and the extensive Smash community who still plays Melee.

Evo 2015 will take place July 17-19 at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
