A 3d Game Walkthrough: Introductory Post

Assalamualikum to all:

First thing is the introduction to myself. ok lets introduce my self.

Introduction to myself:
i am Usman Ahmad from sargodha, studying in University of Sargodha, currently in 6th semester. and unfortunately :clap i am the topper of the class with holding 3.58 CGPA. I love programming. by nature i am a web developer. i have started to design and develop web pages when i was doing metric. i have made a lot of designs, web sites for me, and now for i am making for my customers.

Introduction to my Team:
We are four students in our team.
1. Usman Ahmad (Will Act as a Programmer)
2. Umair Malhi (Will Act as a Programmer)
3. Naeem Khan (Still not specified, may be act as a programmer)
4. Shozab (A 3d Designer)

Why i have chosen to make a 3d Game?
Our HOD said that make a web based project of something traditionally like a library management system, exam management system etc...
These are not so difficult. we have made these types of web applications as our term projects in different semesters. A final project must be some big one. so to give myself a tough time, i have decided this project. And one thing is that why i have chosen a 3d game?
The answer is, in my childhood and often boys play computer games in their childhood. So, at that time i was wondered that how these games are made, how these characters are made, how this whole virtual world is made which looks very close to realistic.

What type of 3d Game, i am thinking about?
My friend Muhammad Ahmad (AbsoluteCPP in this forum) already have started a game project and for some exam dates he is not giving much time to his project but inshallah after his exams we both will run our projects smoothly to the destination. I am aiming to make a 3d game like GTA vice city. i am not saying that very very close to that but i'll try my best to make a new thing from all the previous made sandbox games. inshallah we'll combine the different features of different games like Hitman, Reservior Dogs, GTA and some other.


This was the introduction to my project. The next post will be of my 1st Step towards this whole project.

hmmm... very very ambitious indeed.. well best of luck dude..i would suggest trying something simpler but its up to you what you wanna do.. if you have any problems post them here and ill try to help you..

yeh brother. we'll start from scratch and from the very beginning by animating some object on the screen and then go to our destination. and we require your prayers. . .

Well its an awesome job you are doing. I like it.
Now let me tell you something..
TO make games like GTA, its a much more difficult task for both programmers and designers.
A good programmer knows how to open or edit game files. VIA that you can make a game like GTA. I will say that such act is also fine. TO make GTA, you need upto more than 50 ppl.

I suggest you to start working on " TORQUE game engine ", its a good one, and try to import objects of other games and use them in your game.

hello bro.

as for as concern with game editing. we hade done it a long time ago. we have edited StrongHold2 and named as laraayan da gadh. a personally have edited GTA vice city. I have write the name of ALLAH on the moon which appears in night scene of the game. and i can edit the character face as well. most of the thing like road, buildings and some other things which can be changed, i can.

as i mention that this is my dream. i am not saying that i'll make it in a single step or at the start i'll try to write the GTA game code. i'll start from scratch with simple 2d animation. now a days i am a still busy. inshallah soon i'll come to my 1st step which will be the selection of tools and other constraints and technology we'll use. and how we'll pass on all the stages slowly and steadily. i know it requires much staff. but i have not so much people at this time. i have to cover it with a little team.

inshallah i'll inform you people about my every step.
