I know for some banks, you have to call in their call center and they "reset" it at their end. For others, you have to sms a specific number and then it gets "cleared". So if you're not receiving OTPs, call the helpline and make sure you tell them your number was ported, so they can give you the appropriate instructions.

I ported my Zong number to Jazz a few weeks ago and I am not receiving OTPs for some apps like when signing up for Zindigi by JS Bank. Any idea why?

P.S It's not a network issue as I am receiving it on my other Jazz number just fine.
You can contact Zindagi/JS Bank support and ask them the procedure to update MNP status for OTP. They will tell you to SMS MNP to a JS Bank number to change network on their record.

Every bank has a mechanism to update the network with SMS code.

Yes I did that yesterday and today I received the OTP.

Regarding bank OTP jazz SMS delay delivery but zong is fast
It came instantly, I had to send JS to 9460 first.

I have another Off Topic question btw. TouchlessID registration (for increasing transaction limit) is not working on my Samsung A53 for apps like JazzCash and Zindigi. Both throw error and keep on retrying. What could be the reason?

It doesn't support Carrier Aggregation (CA) between Band 3 and Band 8, as Jazz was offering earlier. However, Jazz has now introduced 3-way CA 4G+ among Bands 3, 1, and 8. Your RN8 Pro supports CA only between Band 3 and Band 1, allowing it to pick up 4G+ CA signals from Bands 3 and 1.
at same place i had Samsung s21 ultra too
and it was not supporting jazz CA
( i wasn't able to find service mode setting for s21 ultra to check whether CA was enabled or not )

Was it official Pakistani unit? Because different countries get different combos of CA. I doubt that S21 ultra was missing that CA combo

You can. I ported without subscribing to any plan. Here's a brotherly advice: Don't port to Ufone directly from Onic. First, port to another network and then port to Ufone. It will be smooth, free, and hassle-free. Just send an SMS to 667 and forward it to the desired network code. After that, you can collect a free SIM from any franchise or retailer by paying the SIM replacement charges – that's it.

However, if you port to Ufone directly, the procedure is very different. First, inform Onic that you want to port to Ufone. They will ask about your nearest PTCL-Ufone combined office. Then, they will switch off your number from their network and instruct you to go to that PTCL-Ufone office to collect your SIM. Upon reaching the office, they will ask you to wait for half an hour as they need to obtain approvals by sending emails, including the process to unauthorized your number from your CNIC. After that, they will issue you a Ufone SIM of same number as a new sim sale, charging Rs. 300 as SIM charges. If your number falls under a special category, they may also charge special number charges based on their system costs. Now, it's up to you to decide what you want.
