    No it doesnt cost to shift from adsl to vdsl, it didnt cost me anything. Also, changing from adsl to vdsl doesnt change ur phone number but maybe they want to shift u to a different msag or something where there is a vdsl card or which is closer to ur house and that wud mean ur number wud...

    Get ur exchanges number, call them , get the number of the dsl guy and tell him to activate my package. Keep calling him daily if u have to to ask for update cause he has to do it. Helpline people wont know much about whats going on.

    When u request for a package change, 2 things happen: 1) They change the speed cap for ur line. So if u request a 20 mb package , they will put a 20 mb speed limit for ur line i.e change ur profile. 2) The port gets upgraded/downgraded so that ur downstream and upstream rate shown on ur modem...

    i think if u upgrade to 20mb ur snr will drop too low and u might face disconnections. U cud try converting to vdsl and that might let u upgrade more. U cud still try upgrading to 20mb now too and see if ur line can support it . otherwise just go back to 10mb.

    Yes but ur current line (which is ADSL) is able to support 20mb if u wish to upgrade Also try checking if VDSL is available in ur area and get that

    Yes u can easily go up to 20 mb, ur attainable rate is around 25mb so 20 mb cud easily be done, go for it especially if u have transform packages available in ur area

    Changing DP wont affect ur attenuation since that is linked to the distance from the fiber cabinet which would remain the same It might slightly increase ur SNR tho.

    My dp was really bad too before so wat the line man did was connect the copper wire coming to my house directly to the wire coming into the dp so the dp wasnt involved anymore That only helped a little tho, my main issue was disconnections, changing DPs may have an effect on reducing...

    Yea , ur dp does look bad, they changed mine recently. What u can do is call ur exchange and ask them to give u the number of the exchange in-charge. You can call him and ask him to get it changed because its in terrible condition.

    yes but many exchanges have vdsl installed but still no transform packages. Vdsl can support those packages so atleast they shud enable them in those exchanges.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
