    Rams and Mobo = Both
    Do you Agree? :p
No seriously.... A leeetle idea of the prices via PM would be great. Ya know, i aint from a Burger Family so had to plan this purchase from the very start :D
So what if i have to import it in Pakistan. What would be the final i've to pay for it. And the most important, HOW am i going to get it?
    Any ideas?
Yo Ali Bhai! If you don't mind me askin'. From where did you get your 790FX Winki?? And for how much?
Well too far from Badami Bagh :D

    Good to know :)

Will meet you inshallah ... hope in the next meetup :)
    Okay Ali Bub!
Dont worry i wont drop by your home for tea
Just asking your location ... Not the exact address if you dont mind
Still less than your $340 criteria. Hell, convert it into US$ if you want, ~$300! :p

Can I call you a fanboy now? Pretty pliss?
You're basically arguing with THEM for the sake of it. Had that been in favor of ATI you'd would've said you can't argue with a review.

I told you.. for the time being you are taking sides ;)
Woops, I forgot to include the part about air cooling on the 5870.

1300MHz was the highest with liquid cooling, I can guarantee you that you will reach almost 1100MHz with stock cooling.
Well, consider the GT300. The GT300's clocks are supposed to be the same or even lower than that of the GT200. The GT300's clocks will be nowhere near the clocks of the 5870.

And the highest OC on the 5870 (as we just saw), was 1300MHz - and it was strong enough to run 3DMark Vantage at extreme settings.

You see, you cannot do price per performance with high-end cards versus mid-range cards. Did you notice that nearly all the cards which were higher than the HD 5000 were mid-range cards? What you can compare the price is with other high-end cards (GTX 285, GTX 295 for now). Somebody who is interested in buying the 5870 is not going to consider the 4850 just because it excels in price-performance ratio. Also, note that the HD 5000 drivers are nowhere near final at the moment. :)

Anyways, my next reply to you will come in the evening, going out for now.
Making it even more puzzling that no 80nm Radeon could achieve 1Ghz core. Needless to say 1Ghz on that 5870 is nothing to get excited over. Its not even on air cooling. While the 8600GTS 1Ghz core is ON AIR STOCK cooling. Pretty impressive, eh?

FYI, highest OC achieved on 5870 and 5850 on air cooling is 925Mhz and 820Mhz respectively.

Also, something work looking at: http://tpucdn.com/reviews/HIS/HD_5850/images/perfdollar_1920.gif
This is why Im not so impressed with the HD5000 as the majority of the ppl here are.
"... and that even those video cards which are double the size of the modern ones could do 1000MHz."
NEVER said OR implied anything like that. 80nm was for you or any other readers knowledge. The way you interpreted everything in the context was fanboyish. A 1000Mhz figure is nothing new in the GPU OC world. Thats all I wanted to make clear. Doesn't even mean that 1000Mhz 8600GTS could beat or even come close to say, a 4890 at 1000Mhz :p
Jesus man.. now you're acting like a fanboy. Just appreciate the damn thing. Always relating one thing to another. Yes, its very much Furmark stable.
