Burning Lulz failed to utilize the new mechanics in meaningful ways. It's better than the base game, but that's about it. Not sure why it's even brought up. Surely an expansion that took 3 years to make after the base game's release would turn out better? 🤷‍♂️:LOL:

Sooooo, Street Fighter 6 and Super Mario Wonder both got kicked out in the first round and RE4 couldn't even make it to the final round of a commooooooonity voted poll. Meanwhile, Burning Lulz and Xenolulz Expansion werent even nominated. Yikes yikes yikes 🤣

Highlights

A lot of great upcoming games premiered during the event. My wishlist include Exodus, Banisher Ghost of Impact (Feb. 2024), Ark Survival, Mo ster Hunter Wild, and The First Berserker Khazan (Summer 2024).

Super Mario Wonder win was well deserved. My kid asked me to play the game with him at night. Woke up to see this gem 💎 win Best Family GOTY.

Tchia wins the best game for impact award (PS exclusive, Yay!)

Sea of Stars Best Independent Game.

Forza Motorsport wins the awards for best sports game and being accessible to disabled gamers.

Alan Wake 2 nabs the best narrative, best direction, and art direction awards.

Baldurs Gate 3 wins the best lead performance award (Neil Newbon), best community game, best multiplayer, best RPG, Players Choice, and GOTY.

Best Fighting: Street Fighter 6 💪 Yay!

Best Audio Design: Hi Fi Rush

Best Sound Score and Music: Final Fantasy XVI

Most Anticipated Game: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Yay!)

Best Adaptation TV Show: The Last of Us (HBO)

Best Ongoing Game: Cyberpunk 2077
