Yeah if you didnt like Souls games Bloodborne wasn't different enough to change your mind about the rehashed formula.

Sekiro is changing up things significantly. The Easy Allies individuals also say if Bloodborne was an 8/10 in aggression, Sekiro is 10/10. Not to mention BB was marketted as an RPG and failed on that front compared to Souls games. Sekiro is an action adventure game with stealth elements.

We played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and it’s about as punishing as you would expect from the developers of Dark Souls. But it may take some unlearning for long-term Souls players.

In the video above, I break down the vertical slice of the game I got to play and explain exactly how the game works against a lot of the muscle memory drilled into you by Bloodborne and Souls games. I also get repeatedly piledrived by a huge monster. Enjoy.

TLoU II adds jump and prone and the V queen sarcastically refers to it as "groundbreaking". On the other hand, Sekiro is changing up things significantly with the addition of jump and crouch. Priceless :tv:

Yeah no doubt DS3 was a far more enjoyable experience overall. BB's broken frame pacing left alot to be desired from the combat, amongst other things.

great purchase , cant go wrong with fromsoftware games.
It was a pretty sweet deal at launch for $32 in South Asia region without any of the "please spend $100 first so you think you saved $15 bucks" schemes that other services lure you into lol

of course this is a fast game and it will be best played in 60 fps in all its glory on PC unlike Gaymode Res Mode Fast Mode running like potatos .

Burn your PRO into a heaping pile of FIRE after this. turn it into a baked potatoe or mashed potatoe your preference.

Hahah dat V queen salt against the "spend $100, get $15 back" deal. I bet the narrative is that I only "think" I saved $15 bucks because I still get charged a $100, and the $15 I get back can only be spent on PSN. Where else would I want to spend it? Steam? No thanks :tv:

Unless it's PC-only or I get it for free, I rarely play multiplayer games on PC. Hackers ruin the experience from time to time. The Dark Souls series has had its fair share of PvP cheaters.

Too bad Sekiro doesn't have any multiplayer options. It's easily my biggest disappointment with the game. So yeah, PC is the ideal platform to play it on.

About damn time they changed the core mechanics which were becoming stale since DS2.
There's a lot to admire about Sekiro. Despite first appearances, Miyazaki is deviating further from his tried-and-tested template. Yes, you'll still see FromSoftware's DNA throughout the game, but from using a grappling hook to scale buildings, to filling counter gauges to essentially pull off V-Triggers, this is the bold move that Bloodborne perhaps should've been.

Looks good. This adds a much needed layer of strategy to the combat.

You can pause the game and progression is tied to exploration.

There are a few factors to consider when spending skill points, as well as caveats. Skill trees can only be unlocked by finding specific items in the world. But once you’ve found the proper item, you can invest skill points at a rest area known as the Sculptor’s Idol (Sekiro’s version of a bonfire). Of the skill trees revealed, we have shinobi Arts, Samurai Arts, and a tree dedicated to the prosthetic arm. Shinobi arts is about stealth gameplay and crowd control. Samurai, on the other hand, lets you assault opponents head-on. Alongside passive abilities and buffs, “combat arts”, as From Software mentioned, are moves that let you further customize playstyle.

Being able to pause makes sense since there aren't any async multiplayer features in Sekiro. Progression being tied to exploration sounds interesting.

The combat in this game is really gonna be something else.
With how small a window they are saying there is for parrying, this is gonna be hugely satisfying to pull off:
