Hello my area is getting FTTH from ptcl.I am not sure if it true but the guy at their office said its a pilot project just for my area.Today i saw a line man install new DP.
Question is if someone has got FTTH of ptcl how good is it plus is the dp as i have posted.
Another thing would like to ask If i will get a new number?.The guy said upgrade so i don't know.

Today i saw a man fixing faulty cables so what could it mean he was grumpy old dude so i couldn't ask much.

Know that, PTCL will be deploying FTTH massively because they have sniffed the market is in dire need of the technology and private competitors are taking their customers away.

I went to PTCL exchange of my area and the guy was begging me to have a DSL connection with my phone and I told him about StormFiber. He said PTCL will be launching FTTH in Lahore in January 2018.

So yeah, they are launching it but I am tentative about their service delivery and custom query resolution as its apparent that PTCL only sucks at customer service.

I am stuck with ptcl. 4G cant be using for gaming much . I am a bit hyped i want it to go smoothly keeping an eye out lol.I don't want to be tortured on copper anymore , its beyond horrible even 2 mbps struggles.I want to gather all bits of information so ptcl guys dont give me an eyewash.

First of all don't be hyped i am sorry to say this but there is NO UPGRADE!

I am a regular user and internally in touch with many people at PeeTCL.
They are NOT going to give any kind of service like FTTH or even GPON,VDSL.

The most we might get is a FiberOptics and trust me we will be owing them for lifetime, I mean WHAT THE FUCK!

anyways the exchange was Upgraded for Nawabzada chowk(Timble Chowk) because of wires getting cut and trust me they fucked people of this area with just a simple DP which is older than me!
The tech they are offering is super old they did not just suddenly started to upgrade their exchanges to FTTH they were really being driven out of the business because of Private Sector people offering like 400 MBPS for just 4800.

I am glad they came in PAKISTAN and i really really really want to see them in GUJRAT but i am really not sure if they will be able to come this far but if & when they do it will change PeeTCL it will kind of burn it alive and will get rid off them.

Bhai i got a new connection its optical fiber till msag from there its copper to my home .I am 450 m from msag.I ordered a vdsl let's see what happens. I am from model town.

Yar bari khuwari ka baad laga ga.

Guy told me i could get a FTTH but he asked me 56k as he said i have to get optical fiber from msag till my own home.Ptcl only offers free optical line if its 80 M.The cost of optical fiber connection is
12k

Another thing my friends already using a 12 mbs connection he lives near eid gah side( same connection as me).If you have a msag i would say ask them to give you a new connection from it.
My connections not fully tweaked man will come on monday again the stats will get better because i have some noise in it.

Another thing i have a friend at ptcl he told me model town area has some sort of ftth or some project approved.What he does not know is when.
They are working in gujrawala sialkot atm.

How much time has passed since this internet of yours is working i mean does it disconnect a lot?
Because when you upgrade to 8 Mb or so it will keep on disconnecting and resetting again and again.

If you can keep an eye on it to see if you get any kind of disconnection.

I have been in touch with someone and soon i will be getting a Fiber Optics because that seems to be the only solution.
Until then i guess i will have to keep on going with simple copper.
The attainable rate gave me some idea that it will work but i am more interested in full time Up and working internet.

Yes FTTH is appoved to most of Gujrat Including Shadman,Model Town and a lot of area's....

Anyways DO NOT PAY a dime in the name of wire cost they are thugs they are just pretending and they wont do any shit.

I hope we get Nayatel,StormFiber,FiberLink And other companies like Optix and a lot more once they come the whole shitty PTCL will be gone for good and i mean they will have less customer and they will be improving their services so they dont get left behind.
