Hey peeps I'm going to share some information regarding village types by town hall levels (not base types) in clash of clans, it will help you choose your type of village or better help understand the mechanism of the village type.
1.fully max town hall.
Maximum level of troops, defenses, traps and heroes. Player has to upgrade each and everything he could at his town hall level including heroes level 5 at th7, 10 at th8, 30 at th9,40 at th10 and 45,20 (king/queen, grand warden) at th 11.
2.semi max townhall.
Not everything is maxed out either the village has something left to upgrade or heroes are at low level, say max defense with few troops one level lower than their max upgradeab level, mid level heroes.
3.(.5) townhall levels.
Townhall with defenses lower than its town hall level. Say you have upgraded your defenses,heroes etc to their max level and just upgraded your townhall, to make it .5 you will start upgrading heroes and troops first without having to buy/upgrade new defenses.
It will make your townhall weight (defense weight) lower in war and will likely match you with lower level townhall because of defense weight.
Th9.5 is a th10 base that has th9 defense with th10 troops no inferno tower and no extra defense.
4. Engineered/lopsided base.
Village with only one defense i.e canon only.
This type of base give you total advantage in clan wars with lowest weight of your defense.(level 1 canon??)
This is an exploit in clan wars matchmaking system.
Here's an example of engineered base.
Say you are on townhall 10 with only canon and few traps on your village, in clan wars you will be matched against the same village that has its defense equal to yours.i.e th4 or th5.
Total war weight counts unlocked troops+ troop level + defense unlocked and defense level.
