I doubt anyone has 3DS here let alone this game. It has got nothing to do with games on 3DS and everything to do with the freaking Region Lock on 3DS. You have no choice but to import games if you own a 3DS. No idea how the virtual shop works on 3DS though.
^^Yep, exactly. I would've gotten a 3DS by now, but the stupid region lock is stopping me. When I heard 3DS was getting SMT IV, I was seriously hyped. Starting looking into 3DS stuff and was very disappointed to hear it was region locked. If 2DS (which I'm getting for this and Pokemon) is also region locked, I will seriously be pissed at Nintendo. >_<
Sorry to disappoint you but 2DS is a 3DS without the 3D, so yeah it's region locked as well.

It works just as the playstation network does, every shop has its own region etc..
umm i had to make a uk nintendo id for my uk console, its easy to do so etc... i have a us psvita and i use my us account on it
You don't understand
VITA is region free! I can make a US/EU/Japan/Asia account on any region VITA
But from you comments, i can't do the same on 3DS and will be locked to making same region account as 3DS.
In other words, it sucks and is totally pointless. Nintendo needs to understand that they won't go long with this region locking BS. Even Wii U is region locked.

I understood what you said and i've told you that...
i had to make a NEW uk nintendo id for it to work on the 3DS ! i already had a US one and it required a UK one for a uk console
