champion7891! I forgot to mention that "EZ Activator" is just a simple "on click" method to activate your windows. But it employs the exact same method of activation as KMSPico i.e. using KMS Activation.

My brother had some similar issues a while back on win 8 , after upgrading to 8.1 pro had no more issues and also noticed that performance of chrome was slightly better....

Hi, just to reiterate. I am facing heavy slowdown problems with my fresh Win 8.1 Update 1 installation on My 3rd gen Core i 5 laptop with 5400 rpm HD, 4 GB RAM.
The boot up process is atrocious. And when the account is logged in, I can't do anything for a couple of minutes as disk usage is at 100%. Closing the lid and then resuming takes as much time as a restart/fresh boot even though in power options the lid functionality is set to sleep.
champion7891! Your HDD is at fault. Better get yourself a cheap SSD. Look in the PG Marketplace. Someone is selling 60GB SSDs at very cheap rates.
1. Rebuild your Index. (Go to control panel for Indexing Services)
2. Clean your C Drive for any leftovers from the update. Either do it from C: drive's properties, or use CCleaner.
Would upgrading to 8.1 be possible? (this is the Enterprise Edition)
Are there any major benefits? Any improvements in boot speed? Right now, a cold boot takes around 9-10 seconds.

Microsoft confirmed that Windows 8.1 will not receive any more major updates instead monthly updates will bring minor improvements from time to time. This means that all eyes are now on Windows 9 Threshold especially for those who hope that the traditional start menu comes back. New leaks suggest that Windows 9 Threshold will feature Linux type Virtual Desktops and the company is also dropping the Charms Bar which allowed easier access to settings, share, devices and start screen.

Update 2 due in few days, nothing major expected but still.
Even though it was initially rumored that it could bring a Start menu and even options to run Metro apps on the desktop in separate windows.
Now it appears that Microsoft has switched the focus to Windows 9 entirely, so the next big OS release will bring quite a lot of changes, including the two aforementioned options, plus multiple desktops, a preview version of Cortana, and Internet Explorer 12.
Just updated from Windows 7 to windows 8.1 on my gaming rig.Had windows 8.1 and was satisfied with it however the experience is even better on desktop somehow (I believe its because of the mouse ) and currently I'm using internet explorer although firefox is on download and to be fairly honest internet explorer has vastly improved.Anyone still thinking that it's slow etc need to give that stereotype up now .The scrolling animation is great. The time to open a new tab is just remarkably fast and it's really satisfying. The fact that unlike google chrome and firefox,it has a lot of space on the screen is a great +1 too.Besides that,I tried my hands on the windows appstore as well for first time.Downloaded a music app I use on my phone which allows me to download English songs however the app lacks several options (even playlists, sort etc) but still is really good I believe.
I was sort of surprised when I had the same wallpaper from my laptop on my desktop when the windows first booted up and was sort of amazed by it .
The only valid thing from his pov he said in the video is AC dead since Black Flag. According to woke police that game was woke too. Welsh man in West Indies. So atleast he's consistent I guess lol
Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
Phil keeps talking about breaking barriers to gaming, making it accessible on all platforms yada yada, while killing competition and creativity at the same time. the fact that i actually believed him for a second lol
Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.
if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

"These changes are not a reflection of the creativity and skill of the talented individuals at these teams or the risks they took to try new things" ... seems to me that's exactly what it is
