Assalam o Alikum!

It has been long since a meetup was held in this region. I cant even remember when the last meetup was held. So I guess its about time we had another meetup. And there's no better time to meetup than the first month of the year i.e January. Personally I've never been to a meetup before so I guess it will be quite an experience for me. Looking forward to meet you all.

I am all for a PG meetup since it has been a long time coming. However, I don't live in Rawalpindi anymore.

Looking forward to seeing it happen though.

In my experience, the biggest problem with meetup's is if 30 people confirm to show up, 12 actually end up being there..

Now the problem this causes is that when you've booked the whole place or even part of some place and less than half the people show up, the owners of the place get a bit pissed off. Their expected revenue is instantly halved.

Hate to say it, but the newer batch of PG'ers isn't the same as the old lot. I think the last meetup was the biggest disappointment, some 18 months ago when the usual only 8-9 of us who are always there showed up after a handful of new people confirmed they would too.

Anyway. Good luck with the meetup. Godspeed!
I hope this paves the way for a Lahore meetup too, even though I know it's still gonna be the usual lot.

Yeah that might be a problem but how about we book the place on the day when people show up and pay right on spot? Hmmmm?

Then you're not quite booking the place, you're trying your luck that there will be enough places available. :)

There should be some strict rules ... if you once agreed you have to show up or there should be strict actions against them

I had a lot of fun organizing PG meet-ups a couple years ago but I am not in Rawalpindi anymore, so won't be able to make it. But best of luck organizing a meet-up regardless!

There is no point of PG meetups anymore hardly 10 people show up. AbbY is right its a loss for the place. Those were the good times when 30+ people used to show up at meetups. Only way to guarantee someone's presence is to take the money in advance then everyone will come :p

Yes... We should take the money in advance through easypaisa or bank transfer. That would assure us 100% presence.

Nope. They have a very valid case. The above video explains it all.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

They could've sold the studios instead of closing them, but the nazi bastards just didn't want competition down the road.
