The Coalition put out the news that they're moving development to UE5 just like 2 weeks ago. I don't think we'll see anything on a new Gears besides just a verbal announcement maybe.

Yeah max at a time is 3 years I thought you bought more to top up later. But codes also have expiration dates so I was just wondering.

They're a bit expensive now but I bought both these for ~$90 when they were on sale during the Holiday period.

Also, one thing the console/games don't tell you is that some of the S|X Optimized games can also run on external drives. Not all of them are necessary to keep on the internal.

If you check any games "file info", you can check where it says "ConsoleType". If it says Gen 9, it will only work on internal. If it says Gen9Aware, it means its an enhanced game but will also work on the external. Mass Effect: Legendary, Halo MCC etc are examples of some prominent S|X optimized games that also work on external.
