Technically, Minecraft situation is different. Mojang is listed as the publisher for PS4 as opposed to "Microsoft Studios" on the Xbox store. That's why you don't see the Microsoft Studios intro on Minecraft PS4, unlike Playstation Studios intro on MLB Xbox.

But Outriders is already in the top 2, 3, top player games on Xbox across all regions. So, that deal definitely worked out well for getting more eyes on the game.

Why would a game be in the 'top seller' when supposedly most of the owner base has game pass where this game is free.

I dont think games have looked any better since 2019 onwards and they are performing worse and worse. Game developers have really dropped the ball.
