Credit card users who have no use for free air fare or other reward points but have a strong World of Warcraft addiction now have the perfect piece of plastic to use. Blizzard Entertainment has teamed up with First National Bank of Omaha to bring a Visa card that rewards spending with World of Warcraft game time.

One percent of all spending collected on the Visa card will go towards the cost of WoW game time. Unfortunately, the special WoW Visa card won’t give its user any discounts on the cost of playing the world’s most popular MMORPG. The Visa card user will have to spend $1500 in order to redeem for a free month of subscription.

World of Warcraft currently has three pre-paid subscription options: a month-to-month package at $14.99 per month, a three-month plan at $13.99 per month, and a six-month plan at $12.99 per month. Currently, the WoW Visa only allows one-month subscription redemptions, leaving the three- and six-month plans only for those who will pay directly.

As a bonus for signing up and qualifying for the card, new users will be granted a free month of WoW upon the first transaction made using the Visa. The card carries no annual fees and has an introductory zero percent APR good on all purchases and balance transfers for the first twelve billing cycles.

Those proud to flash their WoW habits when paying for goods may choose from thirteen different designs featuring the different characters and races of Azeroth.
