I dont think there is any thing called a cell protection, but i think linux can be easily emulated if windows 2000 is already emulated!

There is no such thing as cell protection, Linux doesn't has access to the RSX

linux doesnt have access because the YDL team made it that way on sony's request, but in the future if there is any hacked OS running on it expect rsx usage

emulated means that the windows 2000 on ps3 is actually running through the installed linux on the system, its not running natively..

ps3 > linux > win 2000

dunno, the hackers have a lot of free time on their hands i guess lol, probably mostly for running apps etc, using the ps3 as a computer.. mostly to show off.

btw on the topic of rsx , its not the ydl team , you cant access the rsx just like you couldnt access the graphics chip on ps2. its hardcoded.
