Which Nvidia RTX 3080 & 3090 card to buy?

I'm planning to get 3080 & 3090 for myself from abroad, personally I am looking for ASUS Strix models since I learnt about the whole capacitors fiasco.

Just out of curiosity, how many want a 3080 or 3090 and which brand or flavour are you guys looking for.

Its useless to get premium models this time around as 3000 series are very power constrained due to shitty Samsung 8nm process which is in reality a 10nm process. You are not going to get stable and average clocks above 2k limit this time around without doing shunt mods soldering or other physical changes.
Asus Tuf is the best brand for 3080 hands down so that's the best 3080 to buy without having to pay extra premium.
Also AIB's will release 20GB models in 2021 first quarter which is pretty much confirmed from gigabyte so no point in paying extra premium as i will be selling my 10gb card by them and buying 20gb version

Yes, agreed, 3080 TUF and TUF OC are the best performing cards out of the bunch, TYC got it performing at 2100 MHz stable with a +130 MHz OC on the core and Memory at 10GHz without any modding, Der8auer had the card running at 1985MHz out-of-the-box without any OC or mod, he did a teardown and showed TUF 3080 has all MLCC, 16-Phase VRM, highest Max Power Limit of 375 Watts with most OC potential.

Man these things are HARD to find in stock anywhere in the world right now, my guy even checked a ton of stores in person but even the earliest orders on LAUNCH day haven't been delivered yet. Now Wall Street sources say that this launch from Nvidia was just to get a piece of the spending that would go in console pre-orders and that Nvidia rushed in the launch knowing that they don't have supplies, they didn't even give enough time to their AIB partners.
