What do you people think about this industry future anyway ? Right now mobile has been very profitable and in term of revenues , can't be sure if it has provided the best in the name of 'Games'

What I see , the stuff/content we are getting now on PC and NextGen Consoles is irreplaceable .

I can't imagine a heavy cinematic game like the Last of Us or Uncharted , Quantum Break on a Mobile ( They might get that powerful to have that level of quality ) but I believe it's all the big screen show .

Similar for other franchises like Fallout , Witcher , Assassin Creed , Resident Evil , you name it .

Both Mobile and PC/Console platform are very very different from each other if you ask how their Game Design and marketing is done . How different their users are ...

We hear a lot that mobile is the future and AAA studios are jumping in this market but my personal view is that PC/NextGen consoles will stay and forever ahead .

What do you people think ?

Absolutely no. PC/Consoles are wayy way ahead. While mobile gaming sure has prospered, and quite a few good looking games have been released for it,
PC/Consoles still have a level the smartphones can't compete yet. Even then when you think about it, if the smartphones are prospering in technology, the PC/Consoles aren't just staying still, they too are moving forward
in technology and other areas. So I think this gap will remain. So imo and as you said PC/Consoles will stay forever ahead.

I think Nintendo has taken Switch in the right direction, a console that is also mobile.. Now Asus ROG gaming phone is also a great product. I can see the industry heading more towards mobile gaming however, the hardcore gamers will always want power of the console/pc. Mobile gaming seems more appealing to the casual gamer.

What I can see is that Mobile Gaming will be big in the future, I know back in the day people would laugh at mobile gamers but after the games, like PUBG got ported, mobile gaming has never been the same. More and more AAA developers like you said are diving into this market which isn't a bad thing IMO and is good for gamers all around, both the mobile and pc/consoles markets have their own audience which makes them equally profitable for AAA company.

Moving towards the point, while I do think that the line between mobile gaming and pc/console gaming might get blurred in future but there's probably no way PC/Console gamers would shift towards mobile gaming, like someone said above mobile gaming tends to be more casual-centric while the actual/Hardcore gamers that exist today will still be playing on their respective platforms of choice. It certainly is an interesting future I am looking forward to.

Coming to the other point and relating to what I said before and as a person who has played on both PC/console and mobile, I don't think I'll ever want to play games like Witcher, uncharted and you name it, on mobile :p.

Future of Gaming will be streamed games to your PC. Even Microsoft said that Next Gen might be Last gen for consoles after that it will Devices that allow you stream games from servers. As for mobile industry yeah it has grown but no way they can compete with PC/Console. PC/Console are starting to adopt the VR/AR technologies but these tech aren't as good as there Mobile counterparts. So, there will always be a gap between PC/Console and Mobile tech.

Define mobile?
I mean the thing is even games are being developed for mobiles and portable devices, and as you said AAA coming to mobile, then I think dedicated devices will be made for gaming, like reviving the handheld gaming consoles era.

But still PC/consoles gameplay is never like mobile gameplay, like we are not toady playing dangerous dave so we just gotta move in 2d environment and shoot here and there and jump, these days gaming trend is changed too much compared to what we had in the 90s and 00s, PC and mobile gaming if is the future both gonna be in different directions.

As mobiles and portable devices are optimized for productivity, so if we just imagine all the PC/consoles games we have these days are being played on mobiles we need a hell of resources to optimize all of them for mobile gameplays( only those who develop games will get how hard it is).
I havent played PUBG on PC or mobile so I don't know anything about it.

Imagine if we are playing wow pvp and we have 2 hands 1 for mouse(gaming mouse with extra keys) + keyboard, in pvp all of our fingers are like being used on mouse and keyboard like a calculator is used in statistic tests.
And if we somehow port this game to mobile and cross-platform is enabled in pvp how all those key bindings and its execution can be done in mobile? where we just use our thumbs nothing else? even if its gonna be into cloud gaming mobile UI design is the hell of a job for the games like this even after changing everything for mobile.
for example, m working on an FPS which is for android, and just to minimize the UI I had to remove the shooting button by enabling auto shooting with the crosshair on the shootable object.

so if the industry leaders gonna develop for mobile , its not gonna be like PC/consoles, also if anyone thinks PC/Consoles gaming will be dead that's not gonna happen because our hardware industry will be dead if it happens, at least in near future, if it will be dead there would be alternatives, but playing on big screens with keyboard and mouse and anything else(if there will be any in future) ain't gonna end.

Mobile gaming will bring more money, maybe more than pc/consoles/browser gaming combined in future but its gaming stories can be same but not the gameplay

I believe it will be Mobile/PC. I predict that this or maybe the next gen of consoles will be the last, That is because of the anti-consumer practices by the two major console companies. PC is the most superior platform to play games on, and Mobile is the most portable platform to play games on. This might lead to Hand held consoles becoming mainstream, which would be the best of both worlds. Microsoft has already caught wind of this and they are trying to get more of their exclusive to PC. But i dont see Sony doing this anytime soon.

Sorry.. late to the party..
Well Mobile gaming sure has its fair share of the market but c'mon no way can it come to either mobile gaming or PC gaming..
TBH i'v always looked at Mobile gaming as a kinda "Time pass" while pc/console gaming is something in which you really have to put in some devotion. Sure the Mobile games are looking better by each day and bring a lot more to the table but hey so are the PC/Console games...both seem to be advancing in technology but still there's a massive gap in between....
I mean look at it like this... a guy comes to you says that i'v put like 200+ hours on Candy Crush,Clash of Clans and Piano tiles........would you consider him to be a hardcore gamer? :D

steaming games to all devices... there will be bultin apps even in smart tvs to run all ur games... thts the future
True. Mobile in general lacks proper controller. i mean u can hook any controller with them but most of them are just flat screen and touch is the only controller u can have. Which limits its ability to what games can be made for that platform. In future there might be some revolution on that side. but for now Mobile games are stuck with input options.

No doubt that mobile games are gaining attention, but still PC Gaming is way ahead. If you wanna compare, take a look at some detailed mobile games like PUBG, Asphalt 9 Legends, Gangster New Orleans etc... But still PC is way ahead in gaming and I hope that soon there should be some PC GAMING Industries in Pakistan so that those who are interested don't have to go abroad

That won't change IMHO, the capabilities of a PC are by fa larger than on a flimsy phone.
As it goes in IT the ever growing demand on the machines capability.

Fate of Gaming will be gushed amusements to your PC. Indeed, even Microsoft said that Next Gen may be Last gen for consoles after that it will Devices that permit you stream recreations from servers. Concerning portable industry (Download Game Guardian No Root here).better believe it has developed yet no chance they can contend with PC/Console. PC/Console are beginning to receive the VR/AR advances yet these tech aren't comparable to there Mobile partners. In this way, there will dependably be a hole between PC/Console and Mobile tech.

PC gaming is the most affordable it’s ever been—and for a lot of people, it’s also the best value for a multitude of reasons.

The most important thing that I see is that mobile users, a lot of them, don't identify as gamers, even if they are playing games. The fanbase on PC and consoles are dedicated gamers, the lot of them. I think that both markets will grow in tandem.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.

With how great cod warzone has translated onto mobile. Mainstream Consoles have lost its value even further. Maybe console gaming was associated with TVs and how TV is not the primary source of media consumption anymore, consoles will lose its 200 million core audiences even further.
