Share your monthly average bill you get in summers and also mention the things you run on electricity.

Mine are 2 ACs running half the day, 2 UPS, 2 fridges and 5-6 fans and lights and got around 23k+ bill this summer which is kinda high.

Got under 18k before summers because of less ACs running

You dont need to tell the exact amount just tell the roughly amount 😊

Good thread. 1 deep freezer, 1 standing fridge, 1 ac, 2 coolers, 1 computer, ups, water motor and 5-6 lights and 4 fans. Our bill in the summers hover around 18-20k which I think is a lot since almost everything is not being used till 3 in the afternoon when everyone comes home. The AC runs not more than 8 hours a day.

Got them from super Asia. They're really really good till June, till the time humidity isn't a lot, they don't work aa good in July and August but start to work good again in mid September. The one I have in my room works better than an AC on 25. They work much better if they're covered by shade. This all is for weather in islamabad.

What is the effect on electricity billing of coolers vs ac. I have also heard about some rechargeable ones?

Are they good for indoors?

3 fans 24 x7 ,ups 230 amp battery, 2 energy savers , tubelight 8 hrs a day, laptop.usage 14 hrs a day.NO AC
BILL last month was 980rs with gov subsidy of 2000 something😊 some.fuel.adjustment drama.. average bill is around 3.5k to 3.6k ..it all depends on unit pricr which sucks big time.
Electricity is v expensive..they should at least lower it down.To be honest in our country the monthly wage of 80 percent ppl is not more than 18K .. & look at the bills.. Ac is necessary in hot cities.. kya karein ab mar jai garmi se. I don't use it because Iive in north of Pakistan.

I always thought the affect was minimal. How much would a ups with 2 185 amp battery be consuming? I even bought batteries that are way over capacity batteries.

Our bill has been abnormally high but we don't know what's the source of all the extra consumption, now that you have mentioned it, it could be the ups.

I can't say for sure how much of an effect if has since ac turn on in the same months of summers so it's hard to calculate. I read somewhere that these coolers are easy to run on the ups so I'm thinking they must not consume more than 200-400 watts of power which compared to the ac is nothing. Never came across a rechargeable one.

No they are not unless you're getting fresh supply of air. These coolers works on the difference in levels of humidity. The air outside is warm and isn't very humid so when it passes through water it transfer the heat to water hence becoming cooler, now if you have it indoors then after a while the whole room will reach max humidity level and no more cooling. I even have the washroom exhaust on the whole time which makes the cooler perform even better. The air outside is 40 degrees but inside I have to sleep in a comforter so you can see how it works. The cooler I have is inherently an indoor coolers but when I used it inside, it was just miserable. Inside it works better as a big ass fan rather than a cooler.

Ac mostly run on high temperature (28 etc) also room and out door unit has minimal to no sun light exposure. Fans also don't run all the time.

UPS is the cause for most such situations. It depends on the capacity, manufacturing quality of UPS and age of the batteries. Always remember, the electricity you get from the UPS is almost equal to 1.2-1.5 times the electricity, the UPS consumes from the socket.

As for our bill...

15 savers, 8 fans, 1 fridge, 5 ACs (4x run at least 2-8 hours a day, 1x runs for 2 hours a day), 1 gaming PC. Monthly Bill: 28-32k
