wc3ft help and players needed

Hey So I'm new to this forum - I am looking for someone to help me - meet me even, to help me set up wc3ft on my laptop (macbook air) I've tried everything but wc3ft won't play on my air. It says PowerPc applications are not allowed - can someone please help me with this?

Also, are there any wc3ft players out there who I can play a 1v1 or even if there are 2v2s or any thing - really hoping to find someone !Hoping to hear back from you guys

:google: Google is your friend! So first off I'm not a Mac person but I'll help you out as much as I can. I assume your copy of WC3TFT is non-legit? IF your copy is LEGIT then you can download the Mac Client. However I still think as far as it saying PowerPC apps are not allowed that would occur in both cases (I assume). This is something I found (google <3) I couldn't wrap my head around it maybe you can. Know what Lion or Snow Leopard is? Well it turns out your Mac has an Intel Processor (perhaps) and you will have to use a thing called "rosetta" that will help translate the code on the fly so your Intel processor can run it.
This other link I think clarifies my confusion. Bottom line, you need Snow Leopard and Rosetta installed to be able to install WC3TFT on your mac. IF you have Lion running then a possible solution could be that you install the game on a Snow Leopard environment and then copy it over to your Lion Mac and it should work. All of this however could have been patched by Blizzard so its very much possible your lion can install rosetta which will install the game for you.

Hey man - im totally inept when it comes to programs and software - i just want someone else to do it for me - I know it sounds shallow - but ive been trying for 4 months and no luck so i might as well get it done professionally - maybe even pay a little to get it done properly - holla at me if you or anyone else might be interested in doing this for me

Well I'm not in the country so I doubt I'd be able to install it for you 1st hand. Secondly it pains me to hear someone willing to pay money to install programs. I don't think you should have to do that, put your smarty pants on and follow along. I'll try to help you as much as I can as long as your willing to tell me the options that are at your disposal. So basically you two methods to make WC3TFT work on your Mac. What we choose depends on a few things;
Question 1: Do you have a secondary MacBook/Mac running on a previous version? IF you don't know how to check your version open 'spoilers'

Steps

• In the menu bar, click on the Apple logo.
• Select About This Mac. A window will appear.
• Your version of OS X will be displayed below the letters OS X.
• It should say Version 10.**.
• If its below 10.6.8 then you are fine.

Just let me know if you have another Mac maybe a friends or someone you know who's version is 10.6.8 or older. If not then given your situation there is no way that I am aware of to be able to install the Mac OS version of the game (basically after the 2012 OS update by Apple, blizzard has not patched the client of WC3 because they probably don't support it anymore. Busy with other games I suppose). The other option will be using windows emulators like boot camp or vmware. Well talk about that when we get there. For now tell if you have another mac.
