Wateen is offering unlimited downloads but their highest speed package is 2mb and is for about Rs. 3,200. They are also offering unlimited downloads on other packages. How is their service?

Excellent service.

They have a fair usage policy i.e. the bandwith is limited...

However it is limited to 1000 GB per month. Yes! one thousand GB limit on the 2mbps unlimited account.

im currently on 1mb unlimited....and their service is the best!! i just got me outdoor device so even better response time an stable speed...and ive been sucking the hell out of that connection lol

Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

PTCL 4MB is Rs. 2000. If you cross the 50GB limit they charge you Rs. 1000 more, whether its 1MB or 50GB more.

i was planing to go for PTCL but i heard too many complains and issues with them....

If anyone of your relative has Warid Postpaid connection then its initial charges (installation) is also zero. Its great deal but I am currently on PTCL due to some reason.

ptcl charges 3k for 4mb connetion and unlimited download offer, thats not at all a bad offer specially for downloader's.

You think Wateen is without complaints? IMO all wireless connections just plain suck compared to landline DSL. They're extremely unreliable and have very high pings

Wateen has complains yes.

Very few and far between.

It is a very good service.

i term of plain word the ptcl is cheaper but when you dig deeper in to the term unlimited
ptcl= 50 gb monthly cap with additional charges on crossing the limit
wateen= 1000 gb monthly cap p.s i would like to see a home user coming anywhere near to that limit

Actually PTCL's new limit is 300GB. I have 4 systems connected to my network and fortunately even with my excessive downloading I didn't cross that limit. So it works out cheaper for me at the end of the day, unless Wateen has changed their packages or reduced their prices.

Coz, most people will easily cross the 50gb limit every month.
I do that on a 1mb connection. Double the speed and usage will surely increase along with it.

because i have been using Wi-tribe but it sucks now because of their limited bandwidth

in my opinion wateen and other wireless connections they don't work in every area bcoz they are always dependent on signals. I just got a website coverage wateen. a person can check if Wateen WiMax Coverage is available in his area.
