Popular gaming forum NeoGaf is offline following allegations of sexual assault against site owner Tyler "Evilore" Malka. The site currently lists an error and a note that it is down for site maintenance. Many of the site's moderators left the site in protest following the current allegations.

Saturday night someone posted screen captures on NeoGaf of a Facebook post that detailed an incident in which a woman said that a man she was friends with had shocked her by getting into the shower with her completely naked. After friends asked her to name the man, she told them to "Google Evilore."
In the wake of the post, members started protesting Evilore on NeoGaf and many of the moderators quit. The site was taken offline shortly after the protests started. It has been going on and offline over the past 12 hours.
This isn't the first time Malka has faced allegations of sexual assault. In 2012, Malka wrote about a trip to Spain in which he grabbed a woman after buying her a drink.
"I laughed because drinks here were all of two Euros," he wrote at the time, as shown in a screen cap, "but consented and then grabbed her ass hard to show that I wasn't being taken advantage of, and she thought better of treating me as a mark and left without taking her drinks."

Holy fuck, neogaf was trending on twitter and some of the tweets posted are gold. From people sharing their last "ban me" posts, to people sending a well deserved final farewell to that shithole. People are gathering around this dumpster fire and cheering. It's really great, but one guy made a really good point in a tweet.

Everyone that was on GAF is going to migrate to other forums, including the worst parts of GAF. So these degenerates might infect some other forums. Maybe not immediately but later down the line, little by little. Apparently there were even threads running on GAF voting on where the best place to move to would be.

Honestly, this is all just fun and games, especially because it's on the internet. But in this case, I genuinely wouldn't mind if some of them did end their life after this. Some of the people on this site were legitimate scum. At best they fostered an environment where they sympathized with pedophilia, at worst they had pedophiles running the fucking site. I don't have the image, but some guy got banned and his ban message said it was for being too harsh on pedophiles.

It's an objectively good thing that these fucks lost their little safe space for their degeneracy. I had a good audible laugh at this guy's tweet about all this. Perfectly encapsulated everything.

I've never really felt that pedophiles were "fun to have around" or that they were just like every run-of-the-mill low life individuals "that every forum attracts". Boy, those pesky child fuckers. They're just in every forum. What can you do?

There's a reason why everyone except members of GAF are cheering on this sinking ship. Everyone could see the kind of shit hole it was, and that's without mentioning the doxxing, the witch hunts, the brigading, etc. that the site reveled in. GAF was a shit stain on the gaming industry. Seems like his long ass story is basically just “Im innocent” and the response hasn’t settled well with most of the community. It also doesn’t help that the mods did not stick around for him, which speaks volume about the allegations.

Again the point I find baffling so few are mentioning is the history. This is just one of many incidents.

His history of grabbing women at bars against their wills (we have had multiple GAF members in the past state they witnessed this), him posting revenge porn against a ex.

It creates a pattern that makes one unlikely to trust him on this.

I only go there as a quick news source, I don't really care what happens to the management. If there's a new owner/admin, I will be just as indifferent.
