i wanted to get a low down on what people think about Azhar [shop owner] and his workings

The one near al-fatah and HKB ? Of youre talkin about him then ya he talks politely but he is very mischievous. I got ma 360 modded by him. At first he told me he'll do it for 1200, then when the time came to give the 'monies', he charged me 1400. Well i refused to give him 1400 and paid 1200 ^_^

here's my advice. ALL SHOPKEEPERS ARE BASTARDS! i don't blame them, there's not too much money in it anymore. and the rents for most of these shops have skyrocketed in the last 4-5 years. it's really hard to make ends meet.

if you're talking about the shop downstairs where psclub is, but nearer to hkb then to al-fatah, then yes, he's no exception. i mean, you have to save your own ass. this friend of mine bought an xbox from him, and he gave him fake controllers with it. there's also something wrong with the xbox, and he's giving that friend of mine smart-ass comments about how it's either his new tv or the wire he's using. i'll be going there to set him straight not too long from now.

but then i'm gonna have stories like this about every shop i've ever been to. i mean, seriously, if you come to think about it they have to pay a 20k (at LEAST) rent plus salaries for their salesmen. how honest do you want them to be?

make sure everything is in perfect working condition before you take it out of the shop. and also discuss things on the forum; that's what they are here for!

now, what exact masla are you having with this dude?

good post, its true the rents are up but conning gamers aint the way to go, i doubt he or anyone else for that matter will survive for long, bad publicity thru word of mouth is the worst type, i bought a 360 from him start of this year its working alright but he kept pestering me to get it 'serviced' after a couple months to prolong its life and he'll also put in a 'fan' for 500 rs thatll be good for the system. i dont know whether to believe him or not
plus i was gonna get the analogue nub on my psp replaced hes charging 700 for that, which im guessing is freakin overpriced!

i don't know about the psp, but general repairs on the xbox360 are generally bogus.

here's a tip: most of these shopwallas get their hardware repaired from this same dude. i forgot his name, but he's started his own shop in ahad arcade, that's the one in liberty opposite the shoppe, where dunkin donuts is. it's in the center basement, and the shop's called some cosmetics! yes i know! he probably just took over the shop and hasn't bothered to replace the signs and stuff. if you are going to get your 360 "serviced" take it to him.

but seriously, i don't think you can get your xbox360 serviced and fixed. i got mine done after it rroded, worked for about a month (long enough for me to finish halo 3) and then died on me completely. same thing with this friend of mine.

there's a shop right behind his called "yours game club". this dude called jimmy usually runs it. he's a decent enough guy. won't pull your leg as long as you know your shit. check him out as well.
