yea rameez.....ocz ones have almost the same performance as intel ssd's. intel ones are slightly faster but then if you come to look at the price difference atleast it didnt seem justifiable to me. and to be honest small difference in performance is really not worth the extra money intel is charging but still...do put them on raid and your system will fly really. congrats to you as well :)

im wondering in 340 quids one could do a multi raid environment and beat this sucker wid a magnetic drive or maybe a few tiny ssd's raided more....it would be madness....u shud raid this definitely considering uv got money u nd u want da best so u shud!!!

oh by the take a read rate and a write rate, compare it with lets say a fast magnetic drives read rate and write rate...divide that by the price....lets see whats got better value for money :p i wud love an ssd but but but they have a long way to go and mature....not at these prices!!

well im not planning on puttin this on raid at the moment since spending another 400 pounds on an ssd drive doesnt seem right to me. savin up for new stuff that would be launched pretty soon. but later on will definitely put this on raid.

4 Hard drives in Raid 0 config You can get More than 320MB/sec transfer rate. So I think this will be better than a 320 pound ssd .

^ Lolx are you kidding or what?

SSD is a different story when it comes to high speed acccess storage mediums..I dont think even a couple of HDD in RAID 0 can compete the SSD as they are just meant for high speed performace at a high end price..

well i to be honest have no idea if couple of normal HDD's can be put on raid to match the ssd's performance because if that wouldve been possible....SSD'S wouldve been a major flop...which they arent...every1 is using em...in laptops in pc's everywhere.

Not everyone... just some people are using it. To me SSDs make much more sense in laptops, where weight and size/dimensions of the laptops are very important on the go. In desktops, Id rather have relatively lower access times than limit my available space to less than half of what I have right now. It'll surely be more common when they're cheaper.

Congrats anyways man... that things is effin small!!

SSD is good as it is less susceptible to damage due to shock. Ideal for laptops.

But i agree, standard hdd drives offer more space.

Ive never even heard of desktop owners losing a hard drive due to shock. (not to say its false)
