Travel Advice...

hi..

i want to travel somewhere outside Pakistan but in Asia because of limited budget. Is there any site or anyone here who can advise me on this, like in which season the ticket prices/hotel fare is low and such details.

I'm not really sure what to ask for as i've never been outside Pakistan, so please guide me.

And if you have a low budget, why not go to Northern Areas of Pakistan? Or Kazakhistan.

Low Budget?? Save your money, and invest it in something better or more worthwhile.. having a low budgeted travel might not make it worthwhile which means you would've wasted your money, so i suggest you don't go.

seeing the way dollar is shooting up, it would be worthless imho to wait and save more...rupee will keep loosing its worth...

I thought that travel agents get their commission from the airlines. Am i wrong?

What is your budget?
You can try bhutan tibet etc or perhaps malaysia singapore side.

Or Dubai the tickets are cheap but I have no idea about the hotel expenses.

Or even do an Umrah

^ like the guy mentioned above, if you;ve never been abroad then I personally suggest you first go for Umrah (or Hajj, its up to you)

First of all three things: define ur budget (within 1 lac, more etc) and if your traveling alone, with friends or family? (coz dynamics change w/ each) and most importantly: What do you want to do when you finally arrive at ur destination.

If your travelling w friends then a jaunt to anywhere in Pak wil be great... its cheap, not that risky, n ur wallet wont be dented (much!)

If your budget is within 1 lac+/- then its safe to say you can make a trip to Dubai (if youre into shopping, glitz glam, etc) or Sri Lanka (natural beauty, hikes, KILLER beaches), or even Bangladesh (land in Dhaka -> straight flight+bus to Cox's Bazaar -> hello awesome beaches!!).

If your budget is more than 1/1.5 lac and uptill 2/3 lacs, then go for far east countries like Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur -> any islands) Bangkok (good shopping), or if you're feeling brave go for Singapore

Lastly, if you're feeling reallly like blowing your money and getting the best possible outcome, take a trip to Turkey! telling you man, you wont regret it and Istanbul is really worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!

are you gonna travel alone or going with a female?? cuz then i would recommend honeymoon spots like maldives/some malaysian islands etc/some places in thailand.... if not then i would recommend that you skip all and go to the northern areas and on the way back get some smuggled dry batteries for me from peshawar karkhana market....

thanks. I'm not really sure what my budget would be (maybe max 1 - 1.5 k) and even if I would like to go...because i'm dead tired these days because of marriage preparations, and also because my sister is getting married too. So, i'm thinking maybe i'll go ... maybe i won't but if i want to then i'm planning for it now..

edit:

dubai is a good option now that the tickets are cheap but its expensive and people go there mostly for shopping. i was thinking of going somewhere like thailand (beaches!) but its expensive from what i read online.
