These are Internet speeds of Wateen telecom Trial users in Lahore, the service is about to launch there. In a couple of months in karachi and May/June in Rawalpindi/Isloo. The price hasn't been confirmed yet but rumored to be Rs.1800 for 256/KBPS Download.


Thanks to Wccforums, these speed tests have been performed by them.

1800 is for 256kbps, there will also be 128 and maybe 64. And just imagine all the saved money on games, movies, music etc through torrents.


P.S They will be giving trial versions ( free ) in karachi soon you people may wanna sign up.

That was actually 10Mpbs, those are trial versions free of charge so wateen telecom can trial run their system. It would be starting in karachi soon sign up

This is really awEsome........i haV 256k maxcom dsl at ma home which almoSt suX.........now i can get wifi so i can use ma net on any of ma laptopZ.......stil hav to invest in a routEr.......does any one knoe how much a gud router costz......i mean i hav a house of abt 1000 sq yaRdz.....a around 5 pcz...and inshalalh a xbox360- tooo......so i really need wifi....

First of all results based on speedtest.net are not actual, I tested the site many times, so I can't say what would be the actual quality will be of the DSL...

I hope them come to karachi soon, I might get the connection from Wateen if it available here in my area..at least I will never let go the FREE deal that easily

@AbbasJin: Right now multinet rates are the cheapest...you can get a multinet 256/KBPS unlimited package for RS 2000 and 128/KBPS for RS 1500...
