Well, apparently Waninoko (The pioneer for all the coolest Wii Homebrew releases!) has released one of the Best (If not the BEST!) application ever in my opinion for the Wii!
This awesome guide lets you install a channel / application on your Wii called the Wii USB Loader!
What this nifty application does is that it lets you play backups by extracting a game's ISO from its DVD and install it into a USB External Hard-Drive which you plug into the Wii's USB slots located at the back, thereby letting you load the games directly from a USB external Hard Drive!
Which means, you will not be needing to play games off DVDs anymore, reducing your chances of your games becoming unable to be read due to those annoying scratches it ends up with from mishandling them!
This is DEFINITELY DEFINITELY not an application to miss out on! And I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!
The guide to install this application is pretty lengthy, which would not be fit for viewing it here, so I've posted a really USEFUL how-to guide from Mike & Heather's site who have done a really great job going through all the steps one by one as to how to install the application.
So without further ado, I give you the link for the guide!
For Wii users who are on Wii firmware version 3.4 or lower, use this guide: http://meowmix.freei.me/?p=1626
For Wii users who are on Wii firmware version 4.0, use this guide:

Oh and in case you don't believe me, here's a Youtube video showing how the channel works!

I suggest this be stickied!
EDIT: I uploaded another link for users with Firmware version 3.4 or lower since the original link is dead. I'll try uploading the link for users with Firmware version 4.0 or higher soon.
