So this is my recent PTCL Scum story happened on this eid:
I have a 100 Mbit Fiber package for over 3 years. My internet was fine up until last day before Eid holiday. I used it without any issue on saturday date 09 July, 2022 until 11 P.M. and it was working fine. The very next day on Sunday which was Eid 1st day, i tried internet at 8 A.M. in the morning and it was not working. My PON light on Modem was stable but i had no Internet access. Since it was Eid first day and i was busy i didn't pay much attention and went on with the day. Then again at 7 P.M. on Sunday 10th July, 2022 i checked to see if internet is working but it wasn't so i thought it may get fixed next day.
Next day on Monday, i.e. 11th July, 2022 i waited around noon but my internet was still down so i finally lodged a complaint at 1218. The internet didn't work that whole day either, so fast forward to today (12th July, 2022) i checked internet again at 10 A.M. to see if my internet is back on but it wasn't. I went on with my daily routine while at around 2:30 P.M. today i got visit from PTCL guys, i invited them in, turned on my modem to see my Internet has been restored. Everything's well right? No, i checked my data Usage and got stunned, the days my internet was off here is my data usage:
July 10, 2022:
Download 166.6 GB Upload: 21.4 GB Total: 188.0 GB
July 11, 2022:
Download: 922.7 GB Upload: 96.4 GB Total: 1019.1 GB
July 12, 2022:
Download: 64.4 GB Upload 5.8 GB Total: 70.2 GB
So in these 2 and half days while my internet was off my Total download is: 1158.7 GB.
Meaning i have been deprived of more then HALF of my Monthly Bandwith WHILE MY INTERNET WAS SHUTDOWN ARTIFICIALY on Eid Holidays.
I have emailed at
[email protected] but i doubt i will get reliable answer.
I have been a PTCL defender for a decade but after this fiasco i am now seriosuly thinking of moving to something else. There is always some suspicious looking issue 1 day before or during eid days on PTCL.
