I think you can only share the route with your ISP (since that's what I do with PTCL). They improve it somewhat but it takes a few weeks or so. But there's no guarantee they'll improve it.

Sometimes, the Nexlinx/PTCL route is slower than the one you have - and it'll get fixed later on.

But worth a shot telling PTCL this is going on.

Anyone who are using Ptcl 8Mb can they share their bill, i am currently using PTCL 4Mb triple play rs 2225 rs and after tax it goes to 2940 rs per month, so thinking of upgrading to 8Mb.

PTCL has been acting really wonky for me the past 3 days:

- I have a 15Mbps ADSL connection
- The DSL light is stable
- The router gets an IP address (39.x.x.x range)
- The connection is ok for a few hours at random parts of the day, then all of a sudden, the internet crawls to a halt - i.e. websites do not load and there is frequent packet loss if I ping different websites
- After making a complaint on helpline, sometimes a port refresh works, sometimes it doesn't, but eventually, the situation defaults to the above

Any idea what could be happening?

Assalamalikum, I need a small favor can someone post traceroutes of these IPs: 137.116.130.123 and 13.67.60.237. I need to show them to my ISP (Stormfiber) so that they can fix their crap without making any more lame excuses.

Anyway I can improve my DSL or Wireless settings? I just randomly played around with them.

There are some speed issues on Wifi despite being on Channel 11 or 1.

Have been trying to switch to VDSL for almost 2 weeks now, multiple calls at 1218 and requests forwarded according to whoever attends but not a single person has contacted me over this time period to sort out the installation. I manually called the lineman who didn't even know that I requested it but he kept saying my line doesn't have the feasibility for it. I've verified from 1218 3 times about my area having VDSL capabilities and this lineman has a history of lying to me anyway. What can I do at this point?

Edit: Last call to 1218 I asked if I can contact anyone else from the backend team to check on this and they told me to call 1217 from where I got a number (052-3540000) of probably some exchange which to no surprise, nobody picks up. This is hell.

Will DM you an email address. Send them the details of your request and who you dealt with.

Exchange guys almost never pick up the phone, so no surprise that nobody answered the call.

PTCL employees are kings they want your presence in the exchange and want you to beg for upgrades this is how it works in Pakistan sadly

Your line is stable and your current profile is configured for around 7 Mbps, this may be because of SmartTV, or just over-provisioning by the exchange. I don't see any issues that would cause slow browsing or stability problems.

Either way, 6 Mbps is not enough for 1080p 60 fps video, especially if there are multiple users connected. You might be able to stream normal 1080p, or just 720p instead.

I am new to ptcl dang, and 8Mbps speed is fine but 6Mbps struggles, as you said my line stable is there any chance I can upgrade to 8mbps because exchange guy at first said line only supports 4 then he said 6mbps, I am not sure what to do because he's still saying the same thing that line doesn't support more than 6mbps but sometimes I get 6.5-6.7mbps
Also, I get 5.95-6.3Mbps stable24H, no issue photo_2020-07-14_14-04-18.jpg

You could get the 8 Mbps package easily. Your line definitely supports it.

Put in a request for 8 Mbps upgrade by calling 1218.
