Latency(ping) on PTCL to ip 51.91.106.148
Sometimes its 161ms
sometimes its 179ms
sometimes its 185ms
sometimes its 198ms
and at night its above 210ms
How can one play games with this much changes in ping through out day...
Are we given the lowest priority on undersea cable and we get put on the worst route whenever possible ..
just for info (these tests are done using just 1 device [my pc] connected to modem]

And whenever route changes (latency change) i get disconnected from game and cant connect for 1-5 minutes ..

any thoughts on the network outage througout the country last friday morning and then monday morning? do u really believe their reasons?

Nope it was probably intentional because how can they repair cables where there is flood so fast ..

exactly after the said network outages, pings are high, browsing is slow, VPN's also not working properly something fishy is there

Hmmm well i have tried few free open vpn connections but they give almost zero mbps speed to me. PPTP does not work at all. i somehow feel like ports are blocked for vpn. I can ping the server but when i connect to vpn using open vpn, i cannot ping 8.8.8.8 and if somehow i get a response its like 1000ms +

anybody else getting message from ptcl informing us that they raised prices for package again and this time without an increase in the speeds! BOOOOOOO!
i got msg from 90176 that they raised price of my 30mb from 2700 to 2835 and there is nothing i can do about it. last time they raised this much but they also increased the package speed from 20 to 30. still its ok but getting the feeling they will surely increase this again after a couple of months

i think you are on somekind of fast path. Your ping to gateway is 15ms? Its normally 22ms.

well i am on VDSL so that could be the reason.

I launched a complaint for "High Pings" and in few hours my pings went from
Max 210ms Min178ms
to 158ms 24/7 so far (Got email from PTCL your issue has been resolved)
And after activating fast path they went down to 148ms
But the thing is once i was getting 138ms (same game server in Europe)

PTCL still has a lot to improve! But i am happy that they have started fixing high ping issues
I do Still Wish that i can get 138ms all the time it feels so good to game at 138ms instead of 148ms
That green color on ping looks pretty ^.^

Anyone else getting high latency on PTCL on Singapore servers for many weeks now? VPN also not helping. I think they changed the routing once again unfortunately.
