Pings to EU gone nuts. Never expected that I will get these pings on PTCL. Played a match in EUW yesterday with 125 ping and while my friend who's using stormfiber (transworld upstream) was getting more ping than me (135ms). :flame:

I'm guessing this has more to do with his location than the IP pool. He's in karachi, judging by those pings. People in lahore/islamabad get at least 20ms higher pings.

If he is in Karachi getting 88ms to SEAS while I am in Lahore and never got below 100ms to SEAS even with fastpath then that is messed up. PTCL seriously needs to fix their shit.

39.50 ip pool. I am unable to trace route these ip addresses for some reason, cannot even ping them.

If he is in Karachi getting 88ms to SEAS while I am in Lahore and never got below 100ms to SEAS even with fastpath then that is messed up. PTCL seriously needs to fix their shit.

It's because of random PTCL routing shit. Some ip pools are optimized, others are not. And I have seen people from Lahore getting same pings as mine on PTCL GPON mostly.

Any idea on how much improvement I will see in internet speed and ping if an MSAG is installed by PTCL nearby? (within 300-400 meters of my home).

Currently my connection has 25 SNR downstream, 15 Attenuation downstream, and max potential connection of 25000 Kbps downstream. My 8 Mbps connection gives a max download of 950 KBPS on steam, while hovering around 700-900 most of the time.

So what improvement in stats can be seen with the installation of MSAG nearby?

Your stats are pretty good to begin with.

You could probably even upgrade to 15 Mbps if you want.

Those stats are dream stats for copper users. What DSL modulation you are on? Adsl2+ or G.dmt? If I were you I would choose g.dmt on your line stats over adsl2+ if you aren't on the fast path

Nopes. Even Islamabad can't get this low to SEA servers. You're looking at 105+ ms.

I've been getting as low as 90 ms in game on Singapore servers (AWS), never below 90 though. This all started recently though.

Previously Singapore was always around 110-115 for me

All submarine cables land at Karachi.

PTCLs main data center is also in Karachi. So yes, all data passes through there before leaving the country. Same for Transworld.
