I tried testing. Got 3.6 down on a 4 mbps connection and 46ms ping. Actual usage doesn't seem to agree.

Since we're testing speeds with local servers, they aren't being affected by the international cable?

Things are quite better now here in Rawalpindi. Everything is working fine for now including web browsing. Maybe the cable issue has been resolved or it's due to additional bandwidth PTCL has arranged.

Internet is back to normal atleast for now, can any one share some info what benefit did the new AAE-1 cable brought since its boasted to have 40 TBPS bandwidth and the only cable that went down was IMEWE that brought such drought and its only 2.4 TBPS while AAE-1 is 40 TBPS.
