Either Zong hates me, or their performance wildly varies (4G).

When you perform a speedtest and no aggregation is present, forget about getting decent speeds unless you're lucky. On weaker signals, it's even worse - it's as fast as edge, but since latenices are much better on 4G, basic data services work. With aggregation present, its much better.

Mobilink, on the other hand, works well without aggregation in most places, and even better with (it just makes it a bit more resilient but doesn't necessarily give you more speeds). I don't know if Zong have their towers connected via fiber but I remember someone from Mobilink saying most of their towers are connected via fiber (and microwave in some areas).

But the thing is that even in weaker spots, Mobilink performs WAY better than Zong, even without aggregation in MOST places. No contest. except in places where there's a ton of concrete and Zong have a tower above your head. But then, Mobilink don't have 4G coverage in every urban place either, and their 3G signals are jammed in some places.

But I wonder why Zong behaves so poorly vs. Jazz with the same signal strength in most places.

The VoLTE icon just showed up on my sister's Galaxy A71 with a Jazz SIM.

Tried with an iPhone and a carrier update popped up for it just now so they may have updated IMS profiles for iPhones too.

Can anyone else with an iPhone or Samsung phone confirm if VoLTE is working on Jazz?

Volte on samsung phones with jazz. Location khairpur. Checked on my friends phone too.
Are you able to use 4G data whilst on a call?

VoLTE will allow that since it's data-first (and calls after), as far as technology maturity is concerned.

Update:

Seems to be a staged rollout. VoLTE isn't enabled on all numbers at home, despite having the same phone.

I got a call from them.

It is a staged rollout, and they've enabled it for several Samsung devices and four specific Huawei devices (some Honor and another device name I'm not familiar with - I forgot to write them down, but they said "several Samsung phones").

I complained (generally) about wack 3G service on Twitter to their COO or whoever the dude is on Twitter, and got a call about 10 min back from someone at their network end that they've enabled it for my number, but since my phone isn't enabled for VoLTE on their network, it won't work (unless I can hack the phone somehow and get it to work).

So - it is official, it is being rolled out depending on compatibility, and the Samsung and Huawei phones are getting a profile update of sorts enabling the feature.

I don't think they'll activate it just like that upon request (I tried) since they're checking whether a phone supports it or not - but they intend to roll it out across the board sometime eventually.

So - good news only for the few lucky Samsung and Huawei phone owners, bad news for the rest of us whose phones aren't enabled on the network end.

Now, to get a profile push on my phone...

Hi guys
Long time , no see
I am back
Talking on twitter and bashing Jazz made them to enable VoLTE on my number but unfortunetely my One Plus 7T is not supported yet. I put the sim in Poco X3 Pro and it worked by using a hack (code to be dialled) to make it work.
Surprising their Digit 4G pro phone supports VoLTE lol which is 5K device. Finally we r moving to advance technology

Hey guys. I am back too. Today I also DM Mr. Asif Aziz and He instantly enabled VoLTE on my number. Since I have non samsung or huawei phone, I was wondering if it will work on my POCO F3 3. But when I enabled VoLTE by dialling a code on my phone and restarted the device, VoLTE icon popped up.
Now there are two thing, first they are sending IMS codes to Samsung and Huawei to enable older phones via update. And second thing is they are also providing codes to chipset manufacturers. My POCO F3 has latest snapdragon 870, @iNCEPTiON POCO X3 Pro has latest snapdragon 860 and both phones works perfectly on Jazz VoLTE. I also saw some latest OPPO Reno 6 series phones with Jazz VoLTE. You guys can wait Andtoid 12, it might enable your device too.

Yes maybe new update can enable VoLTE. I am really disappointed as my One Plus 7T is not compatible :( anyways I am selling the phone anyways. Which phone should I go for? Any suggestions? Budget friendly would be better.
