ChinaMobile has got tons of bandwidth/spectrum.. They will boost the speeds in no matter of time .. Look and watch. What speed are you getting? have they offically launched 4G LTE at your place ?

Finally getting two LTE signals. Today i registered a complaint regarding 4G in my area and the guy called after few hours and explained the whole thing that to which tower I'm connected and for time being they are on 2G and 3G but in the future they will be shifted to 4G soon.

He also told me that the 4G tower from where your live is about 600meters to 1KM away that's why either you'll get one or two signals, so therefore it's better that you keep using WCDMA for couples of weeks until we survey the towers to whom you're connected and getting only 2G and 3G. One thing he told me that the tower to whom I'm connected has very small amount of users and you can get the best speeds.

But my question is should switch to WCDMA Mode or should I use my default option aka Auto option which is LTE (Preferred)/WCDMA/GSM?

you can use WCDMA Preferred/WCDMA Only, whichever suits you. WCDMA only will save you some battery i think since it will only search for one type of signal, i may be wrong but in theory..

Download Network app from playstore, it has got many options.

Well this code works for the handsets which don't opt to work with the options in settings .. ie the handset won't budge if u will press WCDMA or LTE option rather it will stick to the EDGE ..this service code takes you directly *#7378423#*#* .It doesn't fall to edge automatically sometimes where there is no 3G service. No idea about xperia though.Keep it WCDMA preferred..THE LTE(preferred)/WCDMA/GSM will effect youur battery alot because the network will keep on jumping to LTE and HSPA [emoji5]️

My area in Karachi has full 4G coverage as per Zong coverage map but even with 4 signal bars I am getting 3G speed on Zong MiFi. The device is set on LTE mode so I am thinking of filing a complaint regarding 4G speed. The best I get on low load times is 10-12 Mbps, most of the time it is between 6-8 Mpbs.

I am in the same boat. I get good speed on Charji cloud but after taxes it became expansive so I bought Zong MiFi. Then PTCL announced new Charji packages, so I changed my package but did not recharge. May be next month after Zong 30 day cycle ends and they do not improve their speed in my area I will switch back to Charji.

Hey I have zong's 4G wifi device. It it is set on LTE network but mostly connects to the 3G network. Whenever I click to search the networks available manually it shows that 4G is available, but clicking that again connects me to 3G. I am guessing 4 G is available but too low signals to actually connect. any suggestion to actually connect to the 4g?

Use the zong device as WiFi extender
