yes we gave ass maths in the same session, my teacher was a kamchor...didn't teach me the last 4 chapters. i worked really hard on the first 20 chapters and got a b. well all that practice paid off...now p1 and m1 seem like a piece of cake...

Dude, in A Levels, why in the fucks world would you want to give an O Level retake, that too for something as shit as Pak Studies (OR Islamiyat OR Urdu!)

It is a document required to take admission in most universities in Pakistan. Without it, you cannot take admission in those universities. Basically it states how many marks you've gotten equivalent to Matric/Inter results.

Urdu, Pak Studies, Islamiat are required for equivalence, but their marks are not counted in equivalence certificate. Without any of these subjects, you will not be able to get equivalence made.

Basically no university ever looks at these 3 subjects. But they are still necessary.

Yup. Besides most universities only look for equivalence to check if student has over 60% in the equivalence to become eligible for admission. Remaining is either done through A Level equivalence or through entry test (or through a mixture of both). I think NUST does take 10% of overall admission
percentage from O Levels result.

If you have that result in remaining subjects, then you will get a great equivalence inshaAllah.

I am the source. Got my equivalence for O Levels made in around May 2012. And equivalence for A Levels in September 2012.

They only take into account 5 O Level subjects. Heck they don't take Add Maths (or whatever the optional subject was) in equivalence as well. I gave 9 subjects but only 5 were counted in the overall percentage.

When I went to get my equivalence made, they just looked at my O Level 1st year result (to check if I gave the 3 subjects) and returned it, but took the 2nd year result and packed it, then shipped it off to Islamabad.

Similarly for A Levels, they don't take into account the General Paper result. I got a D in it so I was very thankful for it not being included in the overall percentage

Then it's simply not possible since the first page states the total number of pages. Besides, such mistakes aren't made by CIE since they check and re-check.

I have a feeling your friend is bluffing.

He's a good student and wouldn't make such bullshit excuses. The rest of the paper went great for him and I see no reason why he would say that.

Say I have 10 subjects. Do they take into account my 5 best, or the 5 compulsories? (English Urdu Math Pakstudies Islamiyat, so to speak). Toh jo mehnat Add Math, Physics, Chem, Bio etc may maari thi woh? =_=

When making equivalence percentage, they take into account Chemistry, Maths, Physics, English, and any one of Biology/Addmaths/Computers. But not Islamiat, P.St, Urdu, even though these 3 subjects are the basic requirements if you want an equivalence to be made.

For me, it was Addmaths, not Biology in the equivalence, and that is why my percentage was lower than calculated percentage. I got an A* in Bio but A in Addmaths.

there is a black fatso in my class...har waqt teacher ki tareef aur full time doosray logo ka grade kharab krnay ki koshish krta hai, before the physics practical tried to give me wrong least count value of micrometer well i wasn't that dheela i knew the value and also confirmed it...caught the cat red handed

Interesting and embarrassing story.

In my second year of O Levels, when I happened to take Add Math just before the mids, I knew nothing. I studied what all I could grasp in a week, but naturally, it wasn't much, especially considering the jump from normal to add math (with regard to one week of study ). Paper aya toh I knew about 3 out of 11 questions and had a doubt in 4.
Of the 4, I did 2. Thinking I was wrong, aiween agay walay say pooch liya. Usnay totally ulta bataya. In addition to this, out of the 3 usnay aik aur ghalat karwa diya. -_____-

funny thing is that this is the behaviour of the people who are total nerds and always like to stay in the spotlight...the normal ones that have lives apart from studies usually aren't much like that
