Ikr. But still my maths p2 was MUCH better than p1
AbbY I think you took commerce right? There was a question asking why cost of distribution is more than cost of production. What could be the reasons? :/
I wrote about transport and value adding. Im pretty sure its wrong. But its the only thing I think I got wrong in the paper. Except p1 was horrible

It was horrible :\

A really weird number patterns question showed up. Save for a handful, none of the candidates were able to get it right.
Probabilities (which I normally find easy) were given in a very twisted way.

I'm losing 10 marks as it is. I didn't even get time to recheck my paper, so I'm guessing more mistakes will show up.

A+(n-1)d, Ar^(n-1)

HOW hard is it to substitute values into these depending on the case? -_-

Math was normal-ish, nothing too out of the blue.

MrDeadman: What about flowcharts? You just have to know the correct symbols. I can't really explain them through the internet... Go through a few examples, I'm sure you'll get them. They aren't that hard.

Value adding has nothing to do with the price of the good in terms of cost of distribution (get what I mean?)

That's a pretty vague question to be honest. It depends from good to good.

Per say, distributing cheap goods, lets say pens and pencils over long distances will cost much more in distribution than they would in production, which is why you see mostly locsl brands dominating, or multi-nats so as to reduce transport cost.

But, lets say you were to distribute something that is very expensive to make, the shipping costs would be relatively lower per cost recovered.
Lets say you had a gold ornament/jewellery. Making it would be much, much more costly than pens, but the shipping would only slightly be higher than that of the pens. (So, in essence, the cost of production of this good would be higher!) Just as an example, lets say manufacturing a pen costs $1, shipping it out would definitely be much more. Just for the sake of argument, lets say it's $5. Production cost of the gold ornament is $800 and the shipping cost is $100, it may be much higher than the pens, but it's still significantly lower than the cost of manufacturing the ornament itself.

Vague question if you ask me. Are you sure this is the entire question, or did it give a paragraph suggesting XYZ's manufacturing vs distribution cost? Without the latter it's a very weird, non-conventional question.

From what I understand, not ALL inputs/outputs, processes and data storages have to be described in the diagram right?

Anyone knows the reporting & examination times for PM Private candidates? I seem to have lost my timing wali sheet. Now, I know that AM's starting time is 9am & reporting is 8am but I have 2 PM papers coming in a few days in Rwp... I'm PK 100.

Ahhh I get it. It was about production of toothpastes. Anyway, just 2 marks. I'm hope I'll get at least 1 considering how lenient the marking scheme is :/

MrDeadman: Not all. Just those that are mentioned. If they're not mentioned, read the scenario and understand what inputs/processes/outputs are being mentioned.

Well, this year the scenario is "Cruise booking system", so just google that and have a look at a few websites and their layout. You'll be expected to design something similar in the paper.

Also, don't forget to write "Computer Screen" at the top. That carries one mark, but candidates usually forget so they end up losing it.
