Cemu 1.7.3d is now available for public. I just tested it and despite problems like slowdowns, no grass and Link sinking into the ground upto his knees when idle, Zelda - Breath of the Wild seems pretty playable. Hopefully after next couple of updates of Cemu PC will become the preferred platform to play Breath of the Wild :D

People wanting better quality won't have to play the game at 720p :wink2:

Have they provided a substitute to the tilt controls? There's sections in the game (shrines) where the puzzles can only be passed with the tilt controls.

Even using CEMU, the pre-existing fan-made Wii U to PC emulator, those involved estimated Zelda would take months of work, such was the size of the game and the complexities of its systems.

Fast forward two weeks later, and there has been remarkable progress.

Where previously the group could only show off the game's opening cave, a new gameplay video shows the game running almost as well as it does on Nintendo's own hardware.

The framerate still isn't quite up to scratch (a complaint you could also level at the main game), but the number of things now working after so short a time is genuinely stunning.

Combat works fine, exploration and the world's physics systems appear to function correctly, you can enter and solve Shrine puzzle dungeons, you can use the game's rune powers correctly... the list goes on.

Poor Nintendo.

Played BOTW for around 4 hours yesterday and the game indeed seems to be very promising... In contrast to other Zelda games, thankfully, the starting section of BOTW was short and sweet so we could finally join the action. The one thing that annoys the fuck out of me are the stupid controls and the fact that you cant re-assign them.. Even though I have played for a good 4 hours or so I am still not able to get a hang of the controls. Everytime I want to sprint in a battle I end up crouching since the L3 is for crouch. The sprint and jump buttons are diagonal to one another - I mean who the fuck thought that would be a good idea. Stupid Stupid control scheme.

Scores are always subjective yar... Loads of 10 for BOTW does indicate however that almost everyone loved the game even if it is not perfect. From the very little that i have played i have loved it. Like in any open world game there are loads of distractions on your way to the main quest. The sense of exploration, Crafting (aka cooking) and most of all the combat is super fun. The combat especially! There is alot of freedom in how you approach any combat encounter (similar to Horizon) plus the game is not easy i must say. Its not like Dark souls hard but its no kiddy game either. For me the difficulty level is a perfect balance some where in between Normal and Hard. If you ask me if its a perfect 10 i would say no but if you ask me if its a good game i would most certainly tell you that it is a GREAT game. But that's just my opinion, you should try it and then be the judge of it.

[h=1]Zelda: Breath of the Wild patch improves frame rates[/h]
[h=2]Playing with the Switch docked is now much more comfortable[/h]

Nintendo via Polygon Nintendo has released a patch for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that has been reported to dramatically increase frame rates when the game is played in docked mode, a situation that used to hurt performance as the hardware and software struggles with the jump in resolution.

[h=4]The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide and walkthrough[/h]

The patch notes for version 1.1.1 of the game don’t give us much details about what has actually been changed, however. “Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience,” Nintendo wrote on the official page. Thanks?
“Went to a forest outside of the plateau with two Moblins where I had major FPS drops,” one Reddit user stated. “Now have a consistent 30 there. It seems that there are still specific areas that tank your frames (the first cliff at the plateau, Kakariko, ect.) but I've never had that stable FPS during combat while randomly out in the world.”

Our review of the game detailed the frame rate issue that the patch seems to address. “While the controls are generally excellent, especially on the Switch’s Pro Controller, the camera can occasionally be a real jerk, particularly while using a bow around trees or fighting multiple enemies in tight quarters,” Arthur Gies explained. “And from a technical perspective, while Breath of the Wild is beautiful, playing the game docked on my TV often resulted in severe frame rate drops. It was never unplayable, but it was distracting.”
This patch is a welcome improvement.

Specifically for the WII U, the frame rate drops are at times absolutely horrendous. For someone like me who doesnt generally notice frame dips here and there, the dips in BOTW were very very apparent and very often too. I am actually surprised that i didnt come across any review mentioning this especially for the WII U version. For a first party game the performance of this game is mediocre to say the least. I wont go to the extent of saying that its a game breaker but it definitely does leave a very bad taste.
